Finally got home after a long day (11pm), but did not want to skip a day of yoga. I'm on day 6, but my man joined me today (his first time!!) so we did day 1 for a pre-sleep yoga. :) Good times with my sweet kitties and family. #yogawithadrienne#31daysofyoga#yogarevolution
The last few months have been a little...sharp...edgy...off? Lots on my mind. So I have been working very hard on developing a regular yoga and meditation practice since the first of the year...I am better when I practice regularly...it just has to be a priority. I practice at home by myself because it's the easiest right now...but I have found a studio whose philosophy of supporting mamas really resonates. So here's to building courage to join a class...but until then it's my home studio, tranquility incense and my favorite Yoga with Adrienne videos! How do you make room for a regular practice? Maddie(4yrs) did yoga with me today and she says all the things outloud that I think in my head. "That's so cool!" (giving yourself a hug) "I can do that move".... "Maybe not" "When is she gonna change this pose?" "I'm just gonna do my own yoga here" "How does she do that?" Meanwhile Nora(2yrs) is off to the side shouting "I doing yoga! I doing yoga!" 😂👍💖
LITTERALY #embracethesquish today. @adrienelouise practice had me hugging myself a lot today. A good reminder that embracing the squish is not only being at peace with the physical body, but showing it some love too. ✌🏼❤
Having taken 6 weeks easy in my boot, and taking a week entirely off so I could serve some wonderful people in Phoenix, I am very excited to be heading back to the gym today 💃🏻I'm also a little nervous though.. I know I'm not where I used to be, and it's frustrating to notice the little changes between me now and me then. I don't want to go attack my routine and then get discouraged when I have to drop weights or modify more than I thought I would. Still, I have to keep reminding myself that comparisons are unfair and, while they may be motivational for a minute, they just bring me down in the end. Everyone starts somewhere, and this is just my new starting point 💁🏽 ----- I started this morning with 20 minutes of #yogawithadrienne , then a little snack of some salted cashews and lots of H2O 💦 on the agenda is a 20-minute @popsugarfitness toning series 💪🏻and a BITE treadmill workout by @davidsiik - starting with the beginner version so I can bring myself back into running and the cardio I love 🏃🏻♀️
I started late and I've missed a few days here and there, but I'm still going to do all 30 days! I have started #yogarevolution with @adrienelouise ! Her yoga is so good! My favorite thing about these 30 days so far have been that each class is totally different! As an aspiring yogi, I am curious about the different forms of yoga available, and this #yogarevolution has given me insight to many forms and I'm only on Day 7! Today was the practice of stability and kundalini yoga. So relaxing and the perfect way to end my Sunday. Enjoy your week everyone, and enjoy the process ❤
Wanted to catch up on one of the Core design Force workouts from earlier in the week, but decided to listen to my body and only do my yoga and CDF Active Recovery. Felt so good to s t r e t c h. Oh my - why did I not do this sooner. Day 9 of yoga and I'm loving it. With the power of you tube, I am managing to learn and practice yoga at a time that fits in with the rest of the family. Finding a way round Mr H's shift pattern was my stumbling block for all these years. Already my joints feel more subtle and flexible, I have more energy and I feel so much more positive and focused. Love it. I can highly recommend giving it a go.
Day 13 - El tema es Openness... abertura. El cual queda perfecto después de un día de darle piocha al talpetate del terreno baldío. Puedo sentir el #prana y casi me mata estando así de trabajado. Pero no he desistido. 💪 Y donde decidí que no me filmaría otra vez hasta haber screenshoteado los videos anteriores y subido las fotos a IG, porque hay que batear la procrastinación. Day 10. - Bastante demandante para la columna... A veces el Yoga me sorprende mucho. Con posturas con formas aparentemente tan "simples" puedes estar haciendo un esfuerzo enorme... I used my yoga mat more times this week than I had for the past 2 years! So I decided to whip up a cleanser recipe that I found on #yogawithadrienne ! There are so many yoga videos on her youtube channel I'm sure I will be learning from them for the rest of this year!! I'm officially ready to say that I might be a yoga person after all!!
