2.2 ✅ My home wifi went out today so no #yogarevolution for me today. So thankful #piit28 is doable without Internet! I sweat so much during this, even though I had to modify more than I'd have liked. #piitday72 is something I've done that I'm proud of. Well, I'm proud of finishing this workout today, I'm proud of going to college and getting good grades while trying my best to balance a healthy lifestyle. I'm also proud of myself for sticking with the #28dayreset (minus my cheat Saturday). I've never felt better! [ Open up your heart ] "How can you be open, more receptive today to the things around you -to notice that the universe is playing your game too?, asked @indieyogalife in the original #inspirednovember challenge. I think the answer is on this #yogitea tag. To be open, and let things come to me. And it did! Well, I've listened to my body and haven't stressed the fact that I am behind on two #yogachallenges , since it's January 18th. I am on day 12 in this inspirational challenge and day 14 in #yogarevolution with @adrienelouise. BUT they were perfect together today. Like it was meant to be. The forgiveness practice had a lot of heart openers and Adriene spoke of the heart and self-love 💚 "Activate self-love! How can we make it cool to love ourselves?" Btw.. I keep the #yogiteawisdom tags in a little bowl, and whenever I need some #inspiration I can pick a random tag. See my previous post for more info about the heartchakra and the task for the day.
Completed day 16 of the #yogarevolution . The theme was sweetness. Being kind with yourself is something I learned a few years ago. I am so hard on myself, I used to talk so poorly to myself. It never occurred to me that the poor, mean self-talk I did would actually make me feel worse. That is, until I started talking sweetly to myself. I'd change the names I would call myself, I learned to be kind to myself and try not to be so hard. Honeybunches and buttercup are the two I tend to use when talking sweetly to myself, or when I talk sweetly to others (ie. when I'm working, and I usually only do it internally, never outloud to others, that would seem weird). But that changed my entire mood changing my self-talk. I've told others to perhaps think about it and how they talk to themself, not to put themselves down by calling themself stupid, use silly instead. 6am 🌚 Prana flow [ I'm SO behind. But catching up!] for revolution yoga w/ @adrienelouise 🌟 Work, now home for a quick cat nap 😴 & hot water with lemon 🍋 before afternoon errands! My exhaustion seems to come and go these days-- sure do take advantage of the days I feel like I'm wired! 😄👏🏼 ps. this bump is comin' out strong in this tight tank and I'm loving it!😻
On the mat today with my pillow, blanket and inhaler (just in case) for #yogarevolution I've been feeling down about starting late, taking breaks and dropping into rest poses. I've only made it to day seven so far. But today I'm going to stop feeling guilty, I stated the new year with antibiotics and every practice helps build my strength, move my joints and calm my soul. Even if I'm running late I'm glad to be here.
I wasn't able to go to the gym Monday or Tuesday so I may have overdone it today: yoga revolution, 60 min cycle class at the gym and then walking on the treadmill until I hit 10,000 steps for the day (all before 11 am). I decided to sleep in a bit + give my body rest, + take a short break from any super intensive workouts. I also bought a knee brace in the hopes of taking some pressure off it. Notice #yogarevolution is not called a challenge (tho we know it is challenging and requires effort) and notice how each day is about practice. Commit to moving from a place of connect and watch your quality of life blossom. Bloom. Boomtown. But you have to show up and do the work. So while you have some momentum, lets check in with alignment and commit to moving from a place of connect. NOTE: Moving from a place of connect feels different every day. Some days it will be important to slow down, some days it will be important to tap into your core. Some days you will need to dig deep and some days - pass me a kleenex while I get tone in my triceps. It is in this way that you will never get injured in yoga and it is in this way that an opening occurs. Trust me on this? Set your intentions today and we will move forward from there. Got really frustrated with myself this week. I had reached day 16 of #yogarevolution , I've been keeping up with my HIIT workouts and I've been bouldering with Jack a lot more so it's been great body/fitness wise! But on Monday I went climbing and ended up spraining my right knee from falling which has put me out of commission with keeping up daily with the yoga challenge. I've never hurt my knee before so I'm hoping I can catch up next week but I'm not sure if I'd re-injure it? To be safe I'm doing super low impact activities like embroidery ✂❤

• PROGRESS • everyone in the fitness industry says you must take progress photos to really see how far you have come. I never believe them until I look at my own. This is taken 3 weeks apart. In the left picture, my lower spine felt like it had fused. I could barely walk or sit and I was heartbroken by how rounded my back had become. The right was today. My spine is so much better aligned. My hamstrings have started to open up. I can't walk around with minimal pain. I've even done two days in the gym. I'm so so happy and definitely on the road to recovery! Thank you so much @adrienelouise for doing #yogarevolution and thank you so much to @gracefituk for creating an amazing community. Without both of you I'd never have got my mojo back.
#tiubootycall complete with 45 minutes of fast paced walking up an incline while I read, the daily moves, and the #tiutristretch routine (much needed!). My hamstrings and butt would be crying if they could, I am so sore from the last few days! BTW, I did get a workout in yesterday!! I just didn't have time to post it. I did the daily moves, K+K HIIT and the new stretching routine that was posted last week. The stretching is helping me be able to walk 😂 I'm glad I've made the time to add them in after workouts. I haven't been keeping up with the #yogarevolution for the past week. I enjoy yoga, I do. But I can't do it every single day. I get bored way too easily! I will finish the challenge in February after this #tiuchallenge - it'll just take me longer is all.
