Today we are doing #ParsvaUtkatasana ie #RevolvedChairPose ie #ChairPose with a #twist . So this #posture comes in many different variations, but regardless of variation, it is said to help strengthen your legs and bring length and lightness to your spine, while expanding the chest. . Instructions: 👣Start standing in Tadasana with big toes together. On inhalation, bend your knees, draw navel towards the spine, lift the chest, arms reach above the head. 👣On exhalation, palms together in front of your heart. Make sure shoulders are relaxed and in neutral position (ie not drawn up towards the ears) 👣Inhale, and on next exhale, hook R elbow outside your L thigh, still pressing palms together, still bending the knees (feel the burn!🔥) 👣Rotate belly, chest, neck and head towards the L. 👣Stay here breathing, OR open arms wide into a straight line, maintaining the twist (shown in pic) Repeat on both sides! This is the way I plank. It doesn't look good in a photo, but it's a lot more engagement in the core strength. The usual plank you see in gym is different from one in yoga. We tilt tailbone downwards, push the chest away from the ground, shift so much forward so you almost coming into tiptoes(which I actually did😂). Try this today. Cheers!
