Here's a little #NSV for y'all. I wore this outfit on Sunday and the shirt finally felt comfortable (and those pants are starting to get some wiggle room!)! Woooo! I'm going to use this outfit as a progress pic and try wearing it the next time I encounter a full length mirror to track my progress but it is the little things!
Do you love ice cream but hate all the dairy, sugar and perservatives in it? You should try this.... Bannana Nice Cream - Freeze 4 bannanas overnight then when your ready to enjoy a delicious snack, add them into a food processor for 3 minutes. Yep that's it. So simple and nothing but bannanas. Can't feel guilty about eating fruit right? P.s i'm a peanut butter fan so i highly recommend adding a tablespoon or two of peanut butter. Just remember to buy the real stuff!!
Three times today the concept of guilt has popped up. I read a post about someone battling with mom guilt. I spoke to a friend about feeling guilty for not providing her family more home cooked meals. She felt like she should be doing more. Another friend mentioned that she was feeling guilty for not exercising more. I'm here to tell you to LET GO OF THE GUILT. Guilt is toxic. It is not positive. It is fear but not the good kind of fear. Not the butterflies in your stomach, exciting you, getting you moving fear. It is the kind of fear that weighs on your shoulders and pushes you down. Guilt sucks motivation away because it just takes too much energy to fight. Just LET. IT. GO. When you start thinking these fearful thoughts, when you start letting guilt get a foothold in your mind, think this instead, "I AM ENOUGH." That's it. YOU ARE ENOUGH. "I should be making more dinners...I AM ENOUGH." There is no place for guilt. #youareenough#justsaynotoguilt

I like my salmon with crispy skin and Miss Lily likes kebabs.. so I met her in the middle and put a stick through it☺️ It amazes me the difference a little stick makes! Served with a herbed quinoa salad. Basically measure one cup of uncooked quinoa then cook it, let it cool a little before tossing through about a cup of finely chopped fresh herbs (I used coriander, parsley and basil), a punnet of grape tomatoes, 1/2 cup of toasted sunflower seeds, 1 cup loosely packed greens, an avo and loads of olive oil and either lemon or lime juice ( I've used a charred lime as I was out of lemons) Feta cheese or pomegranate also go really nicely in this salad but I didn't have any. Miss Harper's has been cut through finely and had a little extra avo added so I could shape it into balls. This can be done with any salad, and can be rolled in almond meal or LSA to make up for the sunflower seeds you need to omit for little babies. As with any salad, sea salt flakes and cracked pepper bring out the best in it x #familyfood#foodmatters
Tomorrow I think I'll wear a hat to this meeting that I have, that says, "Beautiful Ain't Always Pretty" Because out of all the protein bars that I've made the last few days...these are the ugliest. Brown on brown on brown. But they taste so good! Also....apparently this is the only "drizzle" design I know how to make. @conscious_cooking you would have made these look so pretty!!!!!
Day 10 of Whole 30 complete! My body is feeling so good, especially since cutting out sugar. My craving are even going away. So far, my biggest takeaway is the fact that my relationship with food is changing for the better. Plus my cooking skills are on point!!

Food intake: Day 23. One cup blueberries + 5.5 oz strawberries + 4 oz yogurt, lettuce with 6.25 oz chicken + 3 T yogurt dressing and 1 T grated Parmesan, 4.5 oz chicken with 2 cups red cabbage and 4 oz eggplant, 4 oz yogurt with 4 oz strawberries + 2 oz pineapple + 1 pear, plus 2 string cheese and 2 oranges. // Stayed under my calorie max and got to eat all of this food. Someone mentioned today that it looks like I eat too much food to lose weight. Total calorie count today was 1550 calories. That's not too much for someone who weighed 300 pounds on Christmas, is it? The first weigh-in for this month's DietBet is Friday...we will see how much closer I am to #fitdadby40 .
