I told myself today that I was to tired to go to the gym; I told myself tomorrow I will just do extra but what if tomorrow is to late? Tomorrow is never the answer because the time you have today you will not get back tomorrow; doesn't matter how tired I was I started thinking about my dreams and goals driving to the gym and that was enough to motivate me to push myself through it. I started thinking when I felt the sweat dripping from my face that I have people to prove wrong; turning weaknesses into strengths. Benefits of Jump Roping! Don't underestimate the benefits of jump roping. It enhances conditioning, power, speed, and endurance. It also helps develop both the left and right hemispheres of the brain, to more improved special awareness and reading skills, mental alertness and memory. Jumping on the balls of the feet requires the body and mind to make neuromuscular adjustments to imbalances created from continuous jumping. Ultimately improving dynamic balance and coordination, reflexes, bone density and muscular endurance. Always progress over perfection. Core control and stability could be a little better but it felt great getting 3x5 of heavy SLDLs- one of my favorite movements- with the last set being 100lbs for 5. Love mixing in the bilaterals with the unilaterals week to week to keep things balanced and fresh, and this move really nails the core, butt and hamstrings. Leg day be my favorite always!
