Day 54 check in (7.5 weeks) One of my favorite things about the program is our weekly check ins. I find that this keeps me on track and extra motivated to see results. Also makes me resist temptations whether it be of food or skipping workouts. Starting the program is easy bc you see all these results and are so motivated and excited to see your own. Trust me, if you follow the program YOU WILL have amazing results- #itsthescience @lutherfreeman created. But after weeks on the program and already have seen amazing results it really takes mental strength to keep going hard or harder. It's amazing seeing how much inner strength and will power you have. It's very empowering. You dig deep and stay motivated and stay on track. January 19th 2015, I awoke to a stirring in my belly. I remember wondering why I felt so restless and even more uncomfortable than usual at 10 months pregnant. Shortly thereafter the contractions began, slow at first. I realized that this was it, it was finally time! I was scared, but even more relieved to 'know' that finally labor was happening and I would meet my son soon. My water broke at 10am and my husband and I began the 45min journey to the hospital. Up until that point, contractions had been a walk in the park but they took on an intensity during that car ride that I had never experienced before. When the contraction wave hit, i remember thinking I may break the handle of the car door I was grasping it so tightly in an effort to brace my body from the pain. Everything happened SO fast after arriving at the hospital. I dilated from 2cm - 9.5cm in less than an hour and missed my window to get an epidural. Zander was so eager to come into this world he arrived after 25 minutes of pushing with the loudest POP! I've ever heard from his collar bone breaking on the way out. When he was laid on my chest, I was in total awe of the absolute miracle that had just occurred. He was, and is, perfection. Happy 2nd birthday little man. Good morning beautiful Instagram! . This morning little Miss💕 has been a tad cranky. It took me no lie like 40 mins to get her to sleep. Now I'm afraid to move. . The beauty of not moving and enjoying having her in my arms is that I can work from my phone 📱 . Just in the past 3 weeks I have made an extra $300 for my family. One of my biggest platforms is that YOU DON'T NEED ANYTHING BUT KNOWLEDGE to improve your health. And here is another knowledge bit for you: When working out there are a few things biologically that stimulate the body to start burning fat stores for energy. One that is easily produced and often overlooked is --->hgh (human growth hormone) Hgh helps you: ---> Burn fat like a teenager ---> Regrowth of damaged tissues (liver, heart, spleen kidneys) ---> Increase heart output and DECREASE blood pressure ---> Increase good cholesterol and decrease bad cholesterol ---> Improved immune function ---> Improved exercise performance ---> Stronger bones ---> Tighter, more youthful skin ---> Hair regrowth So how can you get some? Don't worry...it's not inside a magic pill or cream or shake. Sure you can take supplemental hgh but it simply serves to increase your hgh levels about 20%. There are a couple ways to increase it using just your human suit. Here is one easy way... >>>HIIT Workouts<<< Simple, HIIT training is fast and effective at increasing your hgh levels 700% (yep you read that right 700%). HIIT is short for High Intensity Interval Training and takes less than 30 minutes. I generally warm up for 3-5 minutes, then 8 rounds of: 30 seconds: maximum energy work out (sprints on foot, cycling for example) 90 seconds: easy paced movement then 3-5 minutes cool down. I'm losing inches. Yippy. . . 💌 My non-scale victory is I've been choosing to park my car far away and walk instead of waiting for a close parking space...I was tempted to move it closer a couple of times but I didn't! . . 💌 I haven't missed a workout since starting this group! I don't think I've ever worked out this many days a week on a consistent basis. And on busy days like today (I'm literally just getting a moment to relax for the first time today) it's easy to flake on a workout, but I'm getting it in! . . 💌 Today, because of the water challenge, I had the most water I've had in one day since this group started! . . 💌 My victory out of all of this (crazy doubles at work on top of school exams) is that I have stuck with my workouts and I've been eating clean too! My scale victory is that I've finally reached my long term weight goal!! . . 💌 I've been feeling much more balanced in life lately and that was one of my big goals for overall wellness when starting this group. I've still been busy but don't feel overwhelmed or off balance and that feels really good. The discipline with working out and eating healthy is helping me to be disciplined with other things for sure!
My New Year's resolution for this year is to not eat/drink more than 24 grams of added sugar a day. Which is hard for someone who goes crazy over Chocolate Peanut Butter Shakes! Most are so high in add sugar I've been staying away from them. Just take Jamba Juice PB Chocolate Love for example, a small cup has 53g. So what's a girl suppose to do when her sweet tooth is calling for a Chocolate Banana Shake!?! She finds a way to make one that fits her criteria. After searching I found a recipe that fit my needs. What's the total add sugar amount you ask!?! 9 grams.

Here's a #breakfast idea for you...and you can either eat it #fresh , same day OR you can create the stack & then freeze them for future mornings! They are Breakfast Turkey Stacks from the South Beach Diet. They are a bit zippy, very flavorful & loaded with protein. A serving size is 1 stack, the recipe is supposed to make 4 stacks, but I made my patties the wrong size for this last batch...consider that small one a midday snack maybe! 😍 Ingredients: 1 lb lean ground turkey (93/7) 4 tsp pancake syrup 1/2 tsp dried rubbed sage 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 1/4 tsp salt 1/8 tsp ground ginger 1 tsp EVOO 1 tomato (I prefer the taste of Romas), cut into 4 slices 4 slices of cheddar cheese Heat oil in large, non-stick skillet. Combine all ingredients except tomato & cheese, make 4 even sized patties. Cook patties in skillet until meat is no longer pink. Top with a slice of tomato & cheese. Continue cooking until cheese is melted (or you can melt in the microwave, it's faster). Serve hot!

Did you know that most people have already given up their New Years resolutions? Why do you think that is? I think that all to often people: > set very unrealistic or unattainable goals. > set very vague and non-specific goals > take an “all or none” approach to their goals > try to change too many things at once > don’t have the accountability needed Change doesn’t happen over night people! If you want a change to stick then you need to easy into them. You need to set smaller, and very specific “stepping stone” goals that lead you in the right direction. If you slip up or get off track, don’t give up! Just keep working at it. This is were accountability comes in! Let other people know your goals, find others who have the same or similar goals, find support and insure you are accountable to more than just yourself. Let’s face it, it’s much easier to give up on yourself then someone else! What are your goals? Are you still sticking to them?
FEELING AWESOME ✨✨✨✨✨ When you have enough sleep and you are ready to tackle the day! Yup that was me today. I woke up before the alarm and early 4:20 am to be exact so guess what I got myself ready and hit the treadmill to get a warm up going. Than after that it was a good 47 minutes of Plyo for #coredeforce man this kills me but I love it. Yup I said it, I LOVED It. Why? Because who doesn’t love feeling badass. My hair was in my way so pulled it up into little half buns and I was like oh man… I look like Chung Lee from streetfighter!! Oh yeah man and then with all the kicks and high knees He he so of course I tried to capture the high knee! A little blurry and all but there it is and i’m making faces but oh well you have to breath or you are not human! ✨✨✨✨✨ So guess what people make time, get yourself pumped FIND your fitness. You have have to hate working out. I love it and even curse it at times because it depends on the move! But I love MAA style workouts always have and always will. So get it done and then you can take the day as it comes !
Maxed out the treadmill today went up to 15 incline ohhh I will feel that later but putting in the work I've had a bunch of people come up to me and tell me I'm changing before there eyes and getting stronger and dropping all the weight I'm so stinking proud of myself for being one strong woman!! #fitness#strongme#strongmom
Some days really take longer to get going & it comes down to creating that extra dose of motivation and momentum. . . . I've been feeling the late pregnancy fatigue set back in big time & getting up at 4:30 hasn't been happening lately... and to be quite frank, I haven't been fighting the desire to "sleep in" until 6. Clearly my body is trying to tell me something & it's up to me to be smart about things for both baby girl M3 and I. . . . Flexibility is going to be key these last 8 weeks of pregnancy and beyond once the baby is here & that's why I'm always so grateful for the ability to fit my fitness regimen in the already existing nooks and crannies of my life. . . . Here's a workout that's 50:10. I used only my Bodyrock sandbag, mine has about 25lbs of sand in it and my weighted 10 lb vest. You can get one of your own in the link in my bio ! I added a round of jumprope in btwn each exercise. Ready ? Set ? Go !! 1. Reverse lunge and twist 2. 1/2 Burpee , 3 bentover rows 3. Plank drag 4. Clean n press, Burpee, 180 tuck jump over sandbag 5. Goblet squat (not in video) 6. Clean n press, squat n press , reverse lunge l&r 7. Ab roll 8. 5 squats , 5 squat jumps (not in video) 9. 3 Bicep curls, 3 bentover rows, 3 Tricep pushups 10. Do you get in workout ruts??? I totally do! I get comfortable doing a specific activity and then I kinda camp out there - not that I don't push hard because I do but I generally stick to what I am comfortable doing 🙄 lifting weights makes me feel STRONG 🏋🏼 once I finish this round of MHC I am going to start (and complete body beast!) there I said it- I have to trust the process (it's a 90 day program!!!) and every day will be a battle to stick to the plan but I trust @sagikalevthebeast and I will reach my goals 😝 w3d1 ✅ time to go check in with my group too🙈 #fitaccountability#groupexercise#gainz
I've been hearing from a lot of clients who have been sick and not exercising at all for a week or two. # I agree to some extent with people who say you need to take time off and rest when you are sick, but I think it's also very easy to use not feeling 100% as an excuse. # Sure, you probably do need extra rest and it's not a good idea to go balls to the wall at the gym when you don't feel great. # BUT... What if you could still use your scheduled exercise time to take a walk, do some stretching or do some movement that makes your body feel good? # Quite often some form of movement and fresh air will give you the energy to get through your day and do what you need to do. # Plus, you take advantage of practicing your exercise habit and solidifying it as part of your normal daily routine instead of giving up when things aren't perfectly lined up. And really, when are things perfectly lined up?
