It's not a bathroom selfie for once ✊🏼 Partly because there was no one at the gym when I went this morning 🙏🏻 - Trained shoulders today and everything moved sooo slow - peep all the dumbbells in the back for my lat raise drop set 🙈 - I'm trying SO hard to increase reps and/or weight and it feels like I'm going in the wrong direction 😤 - Not sure how to combat this. All I can do is keeping pushing 👊🏼

Let's talk motivation 💭 - I'm not going to lie, most days I wake up at 5am and don't give a thought to snoozing my alarm. It's become a habit that I can't and don't want to break ✊🏼 - So is it motivation that keeps someone getting to the gym at 5am every morning, or is it determination AND dedication? - I don't wake up at 5am and think to myself "my motivation today is going to be *insert hot fitness model*", I think to myself "I can't WAIT to get to the gym and kill this workout". - Change your mindset from needing to be motivated to get to the gym, to being determined and dedicated to something you love and want to thrive in 💫

After battling a lower back injury for the past few weeks I've really upped my game making sure that my mobility and flexibility is at its best before beginning any weighted work! For example before any lower body training session, I'll spend around 10 minutes "warming up" including stretches, foam rolling, dynamic warm up movements such as lunges (front/side/with a twist), leg swings and Frankenstein kicks, then I do some glute pre-activation (such as crab walks, glute bridges and donkey kicks) and only THEN am I ready to start my warm up sets of weighted work! Yes this takes extra time BUT if you want your form to improve and perform at your peak without injury, STRECH YASELF BEFORE YOU WRECK YASELF 👊🏽 #glutesorplanets

I've finally realised that gaining 7kg post comp is probably one of the best things I could have done for my body & mind, and here's why: 🍑The booty gains are out of control 🏋🏽‍♀️I feel strong AF 💪🏽Pretty sure I've built a lil muscle already bc I have been training H A R D 🚺My hormones are working again for the first time in months 🍪I get to eat cookies now and cookies make me happy 🔋Energy levels are epicccc (probably due to said cookies) 🤳🏼My selfie game has improved bc I have learned to work ma angles 😂 👯I compare myself to others much less bc I'm focusing on my own path 🍑Did I mention the booty 🙋🏽I write my own rules and do things bc I want to, not because I HAVE to 🥂🍝Many enjoyable date nights contributed to these kg's 😍 😴I don't get sleepy half way through the day from being hungry and weak ❄️I don't sit around like a shivering skeletor bc now my luscious body fat keeps me warmmm 🥗I am only a few kg's off where I feel super bangin' so I know I can easily and HEALTHILY reach my goal when/if ever I choose to do a mini cut ✂️ 🌚My moon face is funny looking and makes me LOL 💁🏽I'm feeling curvy and juicehhhh and also.... booty 🍑 🍈🍈My boobs are delightfully squishy and less fake feeling and my man friend enjoys dis 💀I don't look like a walking zombie now 👚My clothes still fit me sooo same same 🍃I don't have to live off spinach & egg whites which is naiiiiice 🐣Being a lil fluffier never hurt nobody, and I realise I'm the same human whether I have abs or not ⚖️The number on the scale means NOTHING anyway 🦄I have realised I am a magical, unique, unicorn of a human and I love myself no matter what bc my weight does NOT define me, I'm fit and healthy and HAPPY and that's all that counts, riiiight? 💜 Ya, as you can see I'm feelin maself today and things are gooooood #selfconfidence #yusss

Using myself as motivation today - my clients are currently on day 1 of my #samirosefitness 12 week challenge, aaaand I've decided to join them! While I have no immediate desire to "shred" or even get into a calorie deficit any time soon, I've still set myself a few non-scale goals to achieve in the next 12 weeks to keep myself focused and accountable! Using myself as motivation today - my clients are currently on day 1 of my #samirosefitness  12 week challenge, aaaand I've decided to join them! It's been less than a month but already I look at these photos and don't feel like the same girl anymore. Not because I look different (bc clearly.... donuts) but I just FEEL different. My mind is clear, I'm less stressed, less fatigued, I don't have to spend hours a day doing cardio, I don't have to do check in pictures and overanalyse every part of my body, I'm just CHILL. Yeah, it's been a bumpy few weeks and I'm only just starting to find my feet. I'm sitting about 2kgs more than where I feel comfortable but I also am feeling significantly less pressure to look a certain way, because seriously, who the f*ck cares if I have a lil bit of a tummy if I'm HAPPY AND ENJOYING MY LIFE? Jeeez life is bloody good outside the comp bubble, like so good that I might just live here permanently 🤷🏽‍♀️ I have better things to focus on but for now feel free to focus your eyes on that last time that I looked 11/10 cos we won't be seeing these hangry shredz again any time soon 😂
