'Chin Ups' have to be one the most under utilised exercises when it comes to Developing the 'Biceps'. Being a compound exercise you have the additional benefits of elevating anabolic hormone levels, greater recruitment via the stability component and some cheeky stimulation of the back. Anytime I want to overload the biceps with some lower repetition work, the chin ups are always my number 1.

LEADER VS BOSS. Laying here thinking, I wanted to share a story about leadership and a guy I used to work for who had a massive impact on me. His name was Brad and he taught me a hell of a lot more about how to be a businessman than anyone else ever has . Brad wasn't a boss he was a leader. He never sent a team member in blind to do something new. Instead he would always say 'let's have a go at it together and work this out. When we moved warehouses, Brad was the guy who rolled up his sleeves and got things happening. Whenever a team member was going through some personal shit, Brad would be the one to check in regularly and make sure they were ok and see what he could do to help. Whenever a customer had an issue or a need, Brad would bend over backwards to get them sorted out, even if it was a minor trivial thing that was way below his role. We belonged to a massive American corporate company and there was always a lot of red tape whenever we needed to get things happening. I can't even count the times Brad went into battle for the WA team, he was so fierce about his people. He made you feel like you worked with him, not for him, and we would have all done anything for him. He wasn't perfect but he never pretended to be. Instead he just led the way . The way this guy demonstrated leadership is something I'll never forget, even though I fuck up a lot and still have a lot to learn. I often catch myself wondering 'what would Brad do' when I'm in a tough situation with a customer or team member in my own business now. I don't think he could ever have realised the significance he would have on me and my life . People talk about being a 'boss' a lot these days. It definitely sounds pretty appealing and empowering to be a boss. I think a lot of people use the word as a mechanism to feel in control of their own life. I don't want to just be a boss...I want to be a leader and a friend and earn respect just like Brad earned mine #leadership

13 weeks postpartum and training has really intensified for @swankyhealthcorp over the last 3 weeks. Today I completely exhausted her with 10 sets of Barbell squats, Lunges and some isolation work. We used the sled as a finisher where we worked up to adelle pushing 125kg (me + the sled) IMPRESSIVE💪🏻 Adelle is currently dedicating 5-7 hours a week to her training while also raising 2 kids and running #swankyhealth . As her husband I am in constant awe of her ability to get things done with minimal fuss and her energy and passion towards her training. Both adelle and I believe you need to practice what you preach and it is essential for any fitness professional to wear health and be authentic with their clients. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
