But those that show focus, determination, willingness to learn and passion I will as this is seen so rarely in our industry. There are a lot of coaches that put a lot of time and effort into developing me and without them I can confidently say I would not be the coach I am today without them. BCAA's, or "branch chain amino acids" as you might know them by are called because of the way they are formed, into "branched chains" of three(3) non-essential amino acids, leucine, isoleucine, and valine. The most important one of these being Leucine is what with give you the most benefit. Leucine helps prevent muscle 💪🏾catabolism and promote protein synthesis. The other two acids aid in its function as well as providing some other benefits. So before I was obsessed with Muay Thai and lifting heavy, I was obsessed with horses. I was working my way to compete at National level in eventing & I was working with some of Australia's most elite show jumpers. My horse died in 2015 and I was never quite the same. I had already been doing Muay Thai for 2 years at that point so I decided to take a break from horses and give 100% to martial arts. A part of me still feels so so passionate about horses but hey, your journey changes, go with the flow. I don't regret giving up competitive horse riding for Muay Thai, but every now and then I'll get a ride in just to satisfy the cravings 💖 Check out my story today - I'm about to get in the saddle now! It was nice to end the weekend in nature. If you'd told me a year ago, even a couple of months ago, that I'd be wanting to do a handstand on the edge of a waterfall, I'd have called you crazy. But as I set up for this crow, my hands in position, I had this strange feeling. I felt like I was setting up for a handstand. Maybe it was a vision of the future, but I was sorely tempted to kick up (despite my terrible handstands 😅). I think some part of me wants to be...art, to use my body to create awe and wonder in the world. Maybe it had something to do with the young couple watching with bated breath, not knowing what they were watching, but excited to see something different (their actual words as they filmed on their phones were something like "What is happening right now?!). Maybe it's because my mission is to help people realise their true potential, and this is one method of inspiring people to greater action. Maybe it was because I was reminiscing about my first, life changing, visit to Lesmurdie Falls with @travisbrewer.ninja... Whatever the reason, I had a moment. It was a weekend filled with friends and lots of physical activity. At no point did I have to worry about returning to a life behind a desk that is killing my spirit, or about pretending to be someone I'm not so people accepted me. I was me, I was doing things I love, with people I like, in a place that can only be called home.
After an epic weekend of competition in the #NCL there has been a lot of movement in the leaderboard, with two debutants crashing the top three and the persistent @luke_radninja finally securing a finish and the top spot on his third attempt. Week 3 done & dusted 💪🏼 and HELLO week 4 👋🏼🚀💁🏼 . 2 out of the 3 weeks of Isa Body 👙 now have been near on perfect (nutrition 🥗 and fitness 🏋🏼♀️) except one of those weeks involved a crazily social weekend which meant my balance went a little too the other way 😉🤓🍾 . I started my Monday with my usual HIIT stair run though 🏃🏼♀️ and knocked a whole minute off my PB 💪🏽, and with my food and fitness all planned out for this week - I know Ill head in to this week organised and have succeeded already 🤓💃🏻 . As of Feb 1st, I am going in to 3.whole.months.of.no.drinking. SAY WHAATTT? I know. Outrageous. But to get results I have never had I need to do something I have never done. And that is to give my body the ULTIMATE rest from my liquid gold 🥂🥂 and REALLY push myself mentally (because what is even life without champagne). . WANT TRUE CORE STRENGTH??? Gone are the days of performing ab sit-ups and crunches! If you want a rock-solid midsection, then this exercise could be something to work towards. Sarah can perform planks and variations with good form, so it's important that we challenge her. This is a more advanced exercise which also helps to improve; 1- Shoulder stability 2- Coordination 3- Core strength The role of the core is is actually to resist movement at the trunk whilst movement occurs at the upper or lower body.
