SPC David W. Taylor, 20, of Dixon, KY died in Kandahar Province from injuries sustained in an accident at an ammunition supply point.  SPC Taylor was assisting in the uploading of ammunition in preparation for a mission when a few of the rounds exploded. The incident is under investigation.  He served as an infantryman with 3rd platoon Company D, 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. SPC Taylor joined the Army March 24, 2010 as an Infantryman. He attended One-Station Unit Training and Airborne School at Fort Benning, Ga. SPC Taylor joined 2 Fury October 20, 2010. He is a graduate of the Warrior Leaders Course. SPC Taylor’s awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Army Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, and the Parachutist Badge.  Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear ordered that flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the date of Taylor's interment. Arrangements are still pending. Snatch was on the docket yesterday but my shoulder has been cranky so subbed in some #buttstuff instead.  Wanna know how to work the glutes at a #CrossFit gym or at home without traditional cable machines? I used my @mbslingshot for the first part, made a cable kickback with a band, did some activation work in a single leg bridge (I literally can't lift my bum off the ground any higher without my back completely taking over), and finished with some glute/ham raises (slow on way down, fast up)...those are not easy!  Just because something bothers you doesn't mean you can't have some fun and get creative 😜

Ok sorry for the booty angle but the idea was to focus on the shoes (Adidas Leistung II) and see how my feet and ankles were doing. They do look rock solid. Not wobbling or anything. And don't get on me about squatting on carpet unless you're planning on building me a garage. 😜😜😜The floor in this room is flat enough for the time being! I had done the box step ups in the Position USA shoes but I think I ordered a half size too large because I felt like my heels were coming out of them a little. After a great training session last night, I walked into this (sound on and have a laugh)🙄. Apparently I completely forgot how to snatch...at all. Some old shit just came creeping back on this tired, old body. But, I stripped the bar down, worked my way back up, hit that 60kg and moved on. It's not the end of the world. Olytip: Ejercicio de arranque, con este ejercicio trabajamos la mecanica de la extension y la metida, es una forma muy conveniente para calentar y preparar nuestro cuerpo durante una sesion de snatch.  Comenzamos de pie y muy lentamente vamos extendiendo nuestro cuerpo subiendo la barra desde los hombros (no los codos) y quedando en puntas de pies para encontrar el punto maximo de extension y de un movimiento explosivo hacer la metida teniendo en cuenta el desplazamiento de los pies (landing position), brazos bloquedos y cabeza adelante.
