185lbs for 4 sets of 12 reps. Closegrip Bench is one of my favorite exercises for the triceps. I always do this exercise at the beginning of my workout to warm up and get a good pump in my arms combined with some curls.

Is dropping meals out a sacrifice though? Or is it a choice I'm making? # Simple, it's a choice. One of which I'm lucky to have & like everything in life, it's a choice. Day off today as I get prepared to start a new training regime and a new cycle tomorrow. So, thanks to being female and bad timing, I actually ended up competing as a 63kg (weighed in at 57.6kg) this past weekend. I woke up on meet day at the exact same weight I went to bed at the night before. With a few hours until weigh ins, I COULD have done something drastic and made weight, but it wasnt worth it to me--I'm still cutting for figure, so I have plenty of time to compete at less than 57kg this summer. This meet was all about low pressure & having fun after several national level meets, and I wasn't about to let stressing about a weigh in ruin my fun day. Instead, I just had some fun, set some bodyweight PRs, made some new friends, took my token gold medal (only one in my weight class), and earned myself another best lifter plaque. This video is my DL opener (281). Since this went so well, I decided to make some bigger jumps and YOLO a stab at the 63kg DL record on my 3rd attempt. Long story short, this weekend was such a perfect reminder to always find the positive in a situation. One of my favorite quotes is "Have goals, but write in pencil." You never know when you'll have to adjust on the fly. Also a great reminder of why I love my sport and the people that come with it so much!
