I can't believe it's been just a little over 4 years since I moved to Kansas! I still remember this day. It was barely over 0 and felt like -7 (or something like that)!! It was the first day I was in Kansas but I was so excited to be with this man, whom is now my husband! So much has happened since then!! Reflecting on life and all that it has for each one of us. I had plans but they all changed when I met this guy! I dropped out of college, didn't know exactly what I was going to do but I took action and trusted God and did it to honor Him. I since have gotten married and had a son and started my own online business and now my dreams are bigger than ever! Things in life are uncertain but do the best with what you have. Take life in stride, pray and love. Make plans and set goals but hold it with an open hand. Grow and mature. And don't let your past define you. You cannot change the past but you can #starttoday and do better. You can learn and work and go far! Whatever God is calling you to, do it! Take action. Do not fear. You were made for a purpose. Live in it 💕
I did active recovery & core kinetics to end week 2 of the health bet 🎉 I'm so proud of all of the women in the group ❤ - This last week has been a not so successful week for me. Between too many snacks to hurting my back & having to skip a day, I didn't do as well as I had hoped. But the beauty of this lifestyle is the fact that it's for life! It's not a quick fix to lose a few pounds & then quit. I'm on a lifelong journey with no end. There is no destination when you're becoming your happiest & healthiest self. - Tomorrow starts a new week ready for new goals & a new mindset. What are you going to accomplish?

Meal prepping for the week. On this week's menu, chicken and quinoa meatballs with "noodles". Omg sooooooo good! I try to always make time to meal prep on Sundays as it's the only way I can stay focused on eating during the week and quite frankly keep my sanity. Back in the summer of 1985, I remember my mom, dad and I taking my cousin to the airport. After we got home, we turned on the TV to quickly discover that an incoming plane had crashed just short of the runway. We sat there for a moment in awe, knowing we were just at the airport about 30 minutes earlier. Blood banks from the area were asking that anyone that was able to, especially with my dad's blood type, head to their nearest hospital to give blood. It was critical to help the survivors. I remember that day vividly...and I also remember my dad, without hesitation, heading back out in the thunderstorms to give blood. He didn't know how much it would help, if at all, but he did it anyway...selflessly. That always stuck with me. From then on, I knew that giving blood was something I could and wanted to do, as well. La Croix 👉🏻What's your favorite flavor?👈🏻Mine is coconut 🌴 - I am not a soda drinker, but for some reason during my first round of #whole30 my sugar dragon 🐉 came out with a vengeance. La Croix really helped and it made me realize that what I really wanted was the carbonation. If you haven't tried these and struggle with soda cravings, they will be your jam.

So as another Sunday comes to an end, I can’t help but remember how I used to get so anxious and worried for Monday and the long work week ahead. It’s because I hated driving into work, leaving my daughter at before school care, and not seeing her until 6pm. Working hours I didn’t like. Doing something I wasn’t passionate about doing for the rest of my life. Doing something that didn’t bring me joy…. I can't say enough how much becoming a Beachbody coach has changed my life. . . Tonight Hubby and I are enjoying our night cuddled up watching a flick, I am breathing deeply and feeling so thankful. Tomorrow morning I get to wake up and take Ry to the bus stop and see her off on another day of learning and growing. I don't have to rush off to a job that doesn't appreciate me. I don't have to get up an hour earlier to shovel myself out of the house. Drive in dangerous conditions to make sure I'm not later for work. Tonight I'm relaxed and grateful that I took that leap of faith, to go against the grain and follow my heart. So thankful for the Beachbody coaching experience. . . You have to stop and ask yourself if you are doing all that you can to ensure you are living YOUR life the best way possible. Are you doing what you love, are you happy with how you are spending your time. Do you need to lose weight, get a new job, conquer a fear, whatever it is, are you doing all you can to get there ? I am a VISUAL person, and when I set GOALS it helps for me to see them and my PROGRESS towards those goals. I cannot believe I'm coming up on the 3️⃣ year anniversary of finding "the thing that finally worked"! It wasn't some special pill, limiting myself of certain types of foods, or starving myself....it was all about portion control. What's the secret to healthy eating/weight loss? EATING.
