#tbt — Opening for @inqlife at the 2015 @lululemon Leadership Conference with a poem. Up to this point, I'd only done readings at open mic's...so this was a trip. Standing on that stage, with 1,000+ people looking and listening. My knee's were shaking, my stomach was quaking; but I did it. It was a moment that showed me "YES I CAN" — and that propelled me into music. That feeling like, "it can be done." Even if something scares the shit out of you, if you love it enough, if you want it enough — you'll cross that uncomfortable threshold and do it! The best part of the whole event, was chatting with this lady after, who said the poem had spoken to her, and made her think of her daughter– who wanted to become a ballerina, but was scared to move to New York to do it. She asked if I would send her the poem so she could share it with her. That meant the most...that it could possibly inspire her to chase her dreams. And at the end of the day, I think that's what this whole thing is about...sharing with each other, inspiring each other, lifting each other and being in this life together – because we are. Even if we don't know one another – our collective energy, our collective consciousness is all One. I can think of the people that have inspired me, some I knew, others I didn't — but their life impacted me. It's a series of events (for good or bad,) that add up to a lifetime. Life ain't for waiting.
Riff was an excellent introduction to Lazy Ghost. Aussie fronted, but mostly Canadian, this band is awesome. Definitely stoked to look up their music! @lazyghost_band | @rifflandia | @atomiqueevents | @music_bc
💕 this song speaks some truth about us as humans, especially when we're in a relationship that is truly full of love... Fact is 👉 no matter the struggles you are up against, we need eachother. We need to choose the love that bears all things, believes all things, hopes and endures. 🙏 "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." - 1 Corinthians 13:7 ✨ show someone extra grace today 😊
It's been a challenging year for many of us in rural BC as the wildfires forced cancellation or reduced attendance of many festivals, events and arts gatherings & workshops across the province. We've all learned a lot and have a lot to share. Northern Exposure 2017 will make time for discussion around disaster planning and emergency preparedness, we invite you to join us this October in Wells, BC as we come together as a growing community #northernexposureconferenceBC
Woah! We've had an overwhelming amount of submissions for Northern Exposure Conference! We're so extremely lucky in this country to have so many talented & creative musicians. As our team works through the applications (aided with a lot of coffee!) we want to thank everyone who took the time to submit, without your commitment to your craft we wouldn't be able to hold such events.

@sslinn lent me her unique design talents, and came up with this! I love it. It captures something I can't describe. Her style is so authentic, and being my sisters art... it's special. So proud to be your brother Gino 💜 —————— I'm going to try my hand at getting some merch together. So when I do, this is the emblem 🙏🏽
Still buzzing from this set Thursday night at The Hop. Thanks @handsonclaycollective for providing a beautiful space to play! Yesterday I basked in the sounds of @cdaydreamz @bend_sinister @saidthewhale @fivealarmfunk and it was glorious. Thanks @rifflandia for this weekend! Can't wait to see what else it has in store 🙃🎶(and thanks @findingcharlottephotography for the 📸) . . #Rifflandia#rifflandia2017#livemusic#music#festival#victoria#bc#musicbc
Man, dreams are real....Today, I signed my first recording contract with @bizclassrecords to release my song "It's You." To be honest, it doesn't feel real. I'm waiting to wake up. I picked up the guitar 2 years ago, with no musical training, just something I wanted to try and do; make music. If you know me, you know how much music means to me. It's really a trip...it was after a night spent talking with my best friend, my brother @cornycornish that I realized — there really was no difference between me and my idols, all the musicians I looked up to — it was just they did it, and I wasn't. That's it. At one point they started exactly where I was. Somehow it made it all tangible, and cut through the mystique. Mind manifesting. I really can't believe it, and I feel so overwhelmed with joy right now. Like when you have butterflies in your stomach, and your fingers tingle. If you want to do something, if you have a dream — GO AFTER IT! When you're in it, it's hard to see the design...but in hindsight you start to see dots connect. For me, it's like meeting @mykristinalao from @indievancity at one of her shows, and then she let me play at Studio Records. Then the crew @emotionsopenmic let me play at their show, then I met my musical partner @jadesrecordings through a friend. Then open mic's. Playing and meeting @adrian_fitzpatrick @12thsonofjacob @rick_germain @dpfreshh — and recently playing with @itstylerskyy ...so on...I'm going to remember this day forever. And thank you @gggarthhoser 🙏🏽. Just thank you everyone!
