I arrived back in Canada last night. It was such a long day, let me share what went down. Got up at 4:30AM & had no wifi to post my blog because I had to pay for wifi daily & it wasn’t worth it since I was leaving. So I walked across the resort to use the front lobby free wifi to post my last blog at 5AM. Then I started my morning routine and went for breakfast after. A few hours later I arrived at the airport just to find out my flight got delayed several hours. So after hours of people watching, horrible wifi & decent airport food, I finally made it back to Canada at midnight. Today I want to quickly talk about Habits vs Intention, you might be wondering what does my long ass day have to do with this topic. Well it doesn’t. Deal with it. Just joking, while I was at the airport I was reading a book & the concept of it was “How do we stay true to our intentions?” For example, I intended to post my blog yesterday at 5AM & I made sure to find wifi regardless of my situation at 4:30AM. On the other hand, I could’ve slept in for a few more hours & my intention to post everyday at 5AM would’ve failed. The reason why we can have good intentions but still fail is because of our habits. Overtime we develop such strong habits, regardless of our intentions our habits win. If you sleep in on weekends for the past 10 years, don’t expect to suddenly wake up early on a whim. Through my experience I have been able to overcome my bad habits by doing the following. 1) Set my intention with myself 2) Share my intention with those I love & care about 3) Ask those that I shared my intention with to hold me accountable. Setting my intention is done by saying what I am trying to accomplish out loud, I also write it in my journal. Then the reason I share my intention with those I love & care about is because I feel that the more people that know what I’m trying to do increases the chances I will complete it. That’s probably why I told you all that I will be posting everyday at 5AM. Lastly, asking you all to hold me accountable is another way to help me refocus if I ever stray away from my intention. Hopefully this can be of value to you! Don’t let habits beat our good intentions!
Strength. I believe there is so much beyond physical strength, the weight we can lift, how many reps we can perform and how visible our muscles are. The degree and spectrum of strength is huge. We do not celebrate enough emotional and mental strength. There are so many admirable traits that deserve there very own definition. In life, in relationships, in the gym we must have the ability, the strength. This ability allows us to overcome the physical, emotional and mental obstacles that we may face. I may not have the biggest muscles but everyday I make it out of bed, I get to the gym, I get to work. I struggle daily to do these things but my anxiety pushes me to get at least these two things done. This to me is strength. 🌻🌻
Everyday we can make a CHOICE to engage in activities and hold a mindset that channels happiness - What will you CHOOSE today? Go seize the day - open your eyes to the world around you - smile often, laugh loudly, love with all your heart and connect with others. Make this weekend everything you want it to be 💗

When your heart literally flips ❤️ Today, my gorgeous client and inspirational friend @sophie_hawker ran her first ever parkrun! ✨🏃♀️ This is such an overused phrase but I honestly can't describe it in any other way. Sophie - I am so proud of you. 3 months ago, I received a message from this beautiful lady, she was after some guidance as she was keen to strengthen her body and mind. We met for a coffee and she filled me in on her journey - she had been plagued by anxiety and subsequent problems for years of her life. Her journey is truly inspirational, after having been through numerous battles, she now continues to dominate those pesky demons 😈 In 3 months, she has introduced new exciting foods into her diet, practices mindfulness, keeps a gratitude journey, runs 3 x a week, strength trains 2x a week and yogas. 🤸♀️ It takes practice & consistency.
