What is your mindset? What do you think about when you train? Before a workout? Before you do a set? During each rep? Visualize what you want. What you're doing. What your goal is. Don't just go through the motions or let negative thoughts creep in. Go through all the struggles and embrace them. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through all those hardships and decide not to give up, that is strength. That is growth. The first step is to create the vision, because when you see the vision that creates the want power. Once you have that motivation, nothing will stop you.
Exercising and being active is more than just getting “ripped” and “looking good”. Obesity is a major concern in today’s society. Forget about abs and a thigh gap and lets talk about the real reasons to lose weight. ⠀⠀ 1) Obesity leads to excess loads being placed on your joints. More pain in your joints = the less likely you are to move more. Not moving as much throughout the day causes your muscles to become weaker making it harder for you to perform daily tasks. Losing weight will help eliminate the pain in your joints, causing you to move more and become more active. 2) Getting in enough quality sleep. Having a higher percentage of body fat may lead to sleep apnea. Our metabolism is affected by our sleep, so not getting in enough quality sleep (not just enough hours) may lead to metabolism dysfunctions. 3) You will have a proper functioning immune system. Having a certain amount of fat is necessary for our cells to work but having excess body fat can harm our immune system. (Losing weight can prevent you from getting sick often) 4) People who are obese have distorted sensitivities to taste. (eating too much of the incorrect foods). By losing the weight, you will crave fewer sugary and fast food products. ⠀⠀ Let's stop focusing so much on our physical appearance and shift our focus more towards overall health & well being! ⠀⠀ ***The information I post on my page is based on my certification as a Specialist in Fitness Nutrition, my Fitness & Health Promotion Diploma and my own research***
