Crushed #gf8wg Arms & Chest workout today πŸ’ͺ🏼 Biceps are finally returning.. YAY! ✨  Unfortunately an old shoulder injury has been resurfacing, so I’ve been replacing all shoulder exercises with back exercises… Hopefully this will help heal my injury since the problem originates from a muscle imbalance, where my pecs are stronger than my back muscles. Injuries seriously suck, but it’s better to nip them in the bud right away and fix any imbalances before they get worse πŸ€— . Going into college, Tyler weighed roughly 300 pounds. He did nothing but sit on his ass and play video games while eating nothing but pizza and junk food. He quickly realized i would push him to change until he did. After a semester of consistently being asked to go to the gym he realized he didn't have a choice. Tyler finally accepted. In January of 2016, Tyler took the first step that many people are either too lazy or fearful to take. After 13 months, this is Tyler today. From weighing over 300 pounds to weighing just under 230, Tyler is able to prove that anyone can take this step, all it requires is a proper diet, motivation, and exercise. Here we are #16weeks (dirty mirror and messy hair don't care πŸ˜‰). What a difference just one week makes. I swear to you it feels like this this kid grows a ton after every meal. And, these days I am what we call a #bottomlesspit 😁. No kicks just yet, but flutters all night long. This kid loves the real food and hates me if sugar is ingested πŸ˜‚, but I do get in some dark chocolate every night because I can't go to bed without something sweet. But honestly, my body is adjusting to all real food and it's digging it. Happy kid = happy mama. ---- But, unlike last week where I wanted to throw in the towel so to speak, this week is completely different. I am OK. I feel good. I am listening to my hunger cues (and this growing bean) and going with the flow with an open mind. You don't have to 'let yourself go' because you're pregnant or a mom. On the other hand, you don't have to restrict yourself or take extreme measures. But, you do have to love yourself first and foremost. Listen to your body. Train if you want to (and don't if you don't). Watch your mind and body change and embrace it. Always remember, you are beautiful no matter what size you are (pregnant or not). Your body is going through so many changes (if not more) than your mind at this time. It's OK to have bad days. We are all human. But, you are strong enough to come out on top no matter what. Always. ---- But, if I have learned anything during pregnancy it's that this is not the time to compare yourself to your #fitspo, but instead you vs you mindset is a must now. Not the time to diet or lower your intake, but to simply listen to your body and give it what it wants. Not the time to overtrain, but to train at a lower intensity than you were. And, most definitely not the time to not focus on your own health, but to put it as your number 1 (along with baby). Believe me, your body (and bebe) will thank you a million times over later. And so will your postpartum body. I know my weight cut and cardio is doing well when I'm able to smile after 8 rounds of HIIT. Been killing this training block out and staying really poised, even with a new minor pec injury I got I feel more confident than ever with this meet coming up.
