one thing i miss about being home: avocados (and the list goes on of course😂) but sometimes you just have to stock up & bring your own to the dining hall! // a quick catch up on my life: - school is going so well i absolutely LOVE my classes & professors - the weekend was fun, especially because jake and i got off campus to go kayaking and fishing! - the weather has been so hot that i can't believe i'm asking for the colder weather 🙊😂 - gym sessions have been fun because i've been going with friends & jake ☺️ - my addiction for hummus officially came back and i couldn't be happier 😋😂✌🏼

Why do you all crawl about the floor so much? . I received a message on Facebook earlier asking “why do you keep putting up videos of your classes crawling about the floor? What is the point of it?” It is actually a great question because for a lot of people, seeing these types of exercises may seem stupid and pointless.... until you actually try it! . For most people crawling is the first method of moving around by themselves, we do it as babies and there is a real benefit to this action. . The next time you walk, try and focus on how you are moving. You should notice that you walk by swinging your left leg and right arm together and then right leg, left arm. This is known as a conterlateral gait pattern and it’s how we all walk and run. Crawling is the beginning of this pattern and it forms the foundations for your walking and running patterns. . As babies we all followed the same movement principles . •Step 1. Helpless, lying on the floor, unable to move. Our central nervous system seeks stability and as new horns we have not yet built muscle or grasped co ordination and lying down is the most stable environment we have . •Step 2. We begin to lift our heads and look around us. •Step 3. We start to roll from side to side. We play with our feet and hands. We roll on to our fronts and begin to support our bodies with our shoulders and arms. . •Step 4. We push ourselves on to our hands and knees and rock back and forth . •Step 5. We begin to crawl and explore the world. . •Step 6. We try and stand. We use structures like chairs, tables, parents etc to support ourselves (they become our stability, therefore our CNS no longer seems standing as a threat and GRANTS us the ability to stand.) Once we let go, we fall as our CNS has not developed enough to allow our muscles to find the balance required to maintain an upright position. . •Step 7. We take our first steps, we fall we repeat step 6 then step 7 over and over until we learn how to walk

Chest session - Have to say  those weights are getting intense - especially when your increasing those weights and lifts.
