In the words of @jockowillink: aftermath. Heavy bag for 27 minutes. Simple, not easy. Doesn't look very impressive but my fatass pushed for two more minutes than normal. Let's do it again tomorrow. #heavybag#hiit#cardiosucks#cardio

Today is a nice day to put the heavy bag up, wear your Fortis Elite boxing gloves and do sone danage to the bag! If you haven't got your gloves yet go to the link in our bio and grab yours now. Only a limited amount left!
Landed just in time in DC to get an hour at my happy place! Twenty minutes of cardio on the bag and half way thru i had to keep telling myself not to puke😥 It amazes me how fast endurance starts to deteriorate but it feels sooo good to stick thru it and finish😊 Plus i get to guide an onlooker thru his first jab-cross... spreading the word one punch at a time 💪💪💪 #cardio#fitness#fitfam#heavybag#jabcross
Hardest thing to learn when you start kickboxing? Footwork. There aren't many sports or fitness mediums that require you to be light on your feet and as agile as boxing and martial arts. Jessica started consistently attending classes about 1 month ago, and just like so many newer students, she has some trouble getting her footwork down. Switching our stance can be tough, but there are 4 rules we like to apply: 1. 10 and 2. Picture yourself in the middle of a clock. Turn your front leg toes out to 10 on the left for the right kick, and 2 on the right for the left kick. This will help you to turn your hip for proper contact. 2. Keep your stance wide. All too often, as we switch our feet, we bring our foot back from the kick and place it down underneath us. This does not provide balance, makes our hips more narrow, hindering proper rotation, and puts us in a comprised position. Keep you stance wider, like you see Jess is doing here, using the floor mat. 3. Let your body move freely. Do your best to relax and not move like a robot. Don't lock your knees and stay on the balls on your feet. Being flatfooted will push your balance back vs forward. 4. Have fun! Don't overthink and worry so much about being perfect. It takes a long time to master an art. Allow yourself time to naturally progress. Enjoy the process. While you get better, you'll get stronger, leaner, faster. 👊💪👊 #coachable#palangiplus#delco#instagood#instafit#kickboxing#boxing#fitness#martialarts#noexcuses
