🔹weighted bench dips 🔹skull crushers . Triceps supersets. A combo I like to use for triceps...skull crushers are most commonly performed in the close grip position. This works more of the outer tricep where as a wider grip skull crusher works more of the inner tricep. Try to switch your routine up in order to keep your muscles proportionate. I do weighted bench dips after in order to burnout. You can start with a heavier plate, then drop set to a lighter one like I did. #triceps

Today I focused on not stopping until the video actually told me to rest! I'm definitely guilty of stopping before the rest time. I'm doing these workouts to the best of my ability because all of the girls in my challenge group are too! Those seconds add up! Challenge yourself to not stop until the workout is REALLY over!

Nourishing Coconut Lentil Soup 💛 I live for these type of soups. It's the best thing to eat when you consider eating vegetarian like I do 🌱 Beans and lentils are packed with proteins and therefore a great meat substitute 😻 Also incorporated sweet leaves from @herbilogy in Indo known as Daun Katuk to give that extra boost of energy and milk supply if you happen to nurse at the moment 🙋🏻 it's magic I know ✨ Make yours now with this simple recipe: . Ingredients: 1 tbsp Daun Katuk powder 1 tsp curry powder 1 tsp turmeric 1 tsp paprika powder 1/2 tsp cumin 1/2 tsp nutmeg 200 ml coconut milk 2 sweet potatoes (ubi cilembu) 1 can white beans 400 gram (pre cooked) 1 cup orange lentils 2 liter vegetable stock 1 tbsp coconut oil Coriander (optional) Instructions: Sauté coconut oil with all the dry powdered ingredients in a large soup pan until fragrance are released for 1 minute Add 2 liter vegetable stock Add sweet potatoes (cut in small blocks) and cook for 10 minutes in the soup Rinse the lentils and pour into soup together with the white beans Add coconut milk and cook on low heat until all comes together. Tonight's good mood brought to you by sweet potatoes✨ If you're finishing up school like me, this is a quick, healthy and cheap option for carbs versus something like pasta. Poke some holes in your sweet potato, microwave for 2 minutes a side, scrap the insides out into a bowl and mash! I added a shot of milk (or you can use almond milk!), cilantro and salt and pepper! Full of flavour and a full tummy ✊ featuring butter chicken I prepped the other day and green beans! I LOVE how vibrant and yummy guacamole is! I've been lucking out and getting such creamy avocados so I've been adding avocado slices to my wraps and bowls and today I made a huge bowl of guacamole and it was DELISH! Guacamole is so easy to make, too. I like to chop up a tomato, add a Serrano chili pepper, chop up some red onion, add some cilantro, mix everything with some avocado, add a squeeze of fresh lime juice, sprinkle everything with salt + pepper, and that's it! I had a burrito bowl after my workout earlier today so I added a scoop of this yummy guacamole to it and it was amazing! 😋😋😋
1,000 rep leg day completed yesterday. So by default the only thing I could train today was upper body... and it still hurt to just stand. 🙄 okay so here's what my 1,000 rep leg day looked like. I did 5 super sets of 10 different exercises. 4 sets of 25 reps. A1. Deadlift A2. squat B1. Leg press- feet narrow B2. Lunges... yup. That means 50 each set (25 each leg. No cheating) C1. Good mornings w/cable rope attachment C2. Wide leg kettle bell squat D1. Leg curl D2. Glute bridge E1. Banded squats E2. Banded in-out jump squats And then fall on the ground and cry inside. Let me know if you do this workout! 🙋🏽 it was fun to switch things up and freak my muscles out. They needed it.

Celebrated Ugadi today which marks the beginning of the Telugu ‘New Year’ .Made the ugadi pachadi which is a healthy and unique tasting sauce/chutney . The sauce is a concoction of all the flavours- sweet, sour, tangy ,spicy, salty and bitter . There are variations of how the ingredients are used but the main goal is get in the six flavours which epitomise the different facets of life👈🏻🙌🏻. It is made of the following -tamarind paste for sourness, neem flowers for bitterness, jaggery for sweetness, salt- duh for saltiness, raw mango for some tang and cayenne pepper for spice . Adding banana and sugarcane is optional but I add them to mine cause we all can use some extra sweetness in life. All the ingredients are healthy ✔✔✔especially the ‘neem flower’ 👈🏻which is known for it health benefits and has been used in ayurvedic medicine since ages. The benefits of neem flower range from improving digestive health, detoxing , improving metabolism ,weight loss, treating wounds to aromatherapy and treating skin diseases. Also made my favourite maamidi(mango) pulihora which is a rice dish and gets it’s bright yellow color from turmeric. Some #dinnerinspo from the oh so talented @jshealth ! 250g Brussel Sprouts 1/4 cup Parmesan, grated (optional) 2 tbsp lemon rind 2 tbsp coconut oil 2-3 tbsp balsamic vinegar Sea salt Directions: Cut sprouts into half and arrange on a lined baking tray. Coat in melted coconut oil and then drizzle with 2 to 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar. Season generously with sea salt and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons lemon rind and 1/4 cup Parmesan. Then he started picking up on the fact that every time we were together, I would be writing stuff down or taking pictures of him with my phone. Now just about every time he says anything he looks at me and says, "That's going on Facebook isn't it?" . I took a totally dreadful picture of him when he was in his hospital gown after the heart attack and he had all these wires coming out of him, and his hair was an Afro, and he was that particularly lovely shade of olive green that us Italians get during the winter that makes us look dead. . He saw me do it and started laughing and rolling his eyes. He's surrendered. 🏳
