Dinner! Reunited with one of my favourite comfort foods.. the humble Indian homemade dosa with a peanut chutney on the side .. would've liked to have had this earlier.. dinner was late tonight.. one of the key factors to a healthy digestion is finishing dinner latest by 8 o'clock & try not to consume anything after, until breakfast next morning..except for herbal teas & water.. this gives room for all your food to be digested before bedtime & you wake up feeling light & refreshed as opposed to uneasy & bloated.. Get into a habit of eating before 8:00pm.. remember the earlier, the better:) To your health! X #dosa #dinner

It's been a while since I blogged, I took a break by and large because the whole experience was becoming an increasingly large source of negativity in my life. The irony of feeling bad about things I was writing  and how often or not I should be writing, when my blog was supposed to be a source of freedom for me. It turned from a labour of love to a labour of dislike.  I am a wife, mom, stepmom, I work full time and run a company with my husband. I am overweight, i'm tired and I don't always have time to eat healthy and workout. I am generally very busy and the last thing I want to do is try and be the type of writer that I'm not.  I've come up mentally with so much content but I've tried writing and it's not really happening at the moment so I'm going to microblog on this platform and see where things go from here!

My Favourite Sugar Lip Scrub . This delicious, natural, exfoliating lip scrub will leave your lips feeling smooth and rejuvenated. Customize it by using any of your favorite essential oils. For extra soft lips, apply lip balm after the scrub. . Ingredients: 4 teaspoons brown sugar 3 teaspoons virgin coconut oil 3 teaspoons honey 2 drops Peppermint essential oil 2 drops Wild Orange essential oil . Note: This recipe makes a little less than a 1/4 cup. Either portion out the mixture into several airtight containers or adjust the recipe to fit the container you have. . Directions Mix brown sugar, coconut oil, and honey in small bowl. Add desired essential oils. Stir until ingredients are combined. Put contents into airtight container of your choice. I have a bit of a problem of trying to do too much, which gets me really stressed out. Traveling to Portland was so fun- I woke up each day thinking "what do I want to do today? Should I try a new restaurant? Read my book in a coffee shop?" Etc. My newest personal goal is carving out more time for myself, treating one day per week like I'm on vacation (and then if I feel up for it, I can tackle a project like organization, an article, etc). Lately I've been throwing some of my responsibilities to the wind (sorry, you know who you are if this has affected you), and I'm truly not better or worse off in my career, but simply more rested and happier. This past Sunday I was itching to organize, but other than that, deliciously stayed in bed snuggling my pup til almost noon, went out to lunch, finished the last few pages in my book, and got a facial. It was pretty glorious not to agonize over errands and "things I should or could be doing." And I feel more ready to get back into the swing of taking on more projects. This Brazilian Bowl has kale, black beans, plaintain, guac, jalapeño, pico de gallo, leeks, crimini mushrooms, raw hot sauce, over rice. 👍🏼👍🏼

"Use it or lose it!" Yes, this is quite simply the reason why we, young and old, should all take a moment to stretch... a little, daily! Stretching is so important for flexibility, movement and injury prevention. Stretching is helping your joints keep an adequate range of motion and enabling your muscles to do their job more efficiently by increasing the blood flow to those muscles. For those sitting at desks for long periods, it might just be rolling your shoulders backwards for 10 rolls, for those on their feet all day it could be lying on your back , bringing one knee up to your chest and hugging for 10 seconds and do the same with the other leg a few times!  Now let's not forget our children! With the all too regular use of 💻, tablets and 📱 the so called "tech-neck" could be relaxed with a few simple chin tucks or neck rotations and of course better posture. Finally, stretching is a great way to relax and aid good sleep 😴 so whatever you do, stretch yourself daily ! 🌟

It's such a nourishing treat, packed with vitamins and minerals like magnesium, iron and potassium. Yayyyy for health. For the full recipe and it's benefits, click the link in my bio  WHAT YOU'LL NEED Serves 2  4 ripe bananas 2 large handfuls of ice cubes 2 tbsp. of good quality chunky peanut butter 250ml of Cashew Milk 1 tbsp. of 100% Canadian maple syrup A pinch of cinnamon  Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender  CHOCOLATE SAUCE  2 tbsp peanut butter 1 tbsp blackstrap molasses 1 tbsp raw cocoa powder 2 tbsp water  Heat all of these ingredients in a sauce pan on low heat until combined. With the theme of the day thought I would add a little help for those who struggle to fire their glutes (or with uneven glute strength). Use a resistance band to add tension and perform a very slow hip thrust. This ensures firing of your glutes as well as equal use (the wobbles show you where your glutes lose strength) Make sure you use a light bar for this.  Just remember all other hip thrust rules apply here too.  Secondly, try one sided hip thrusts as shown in the second clip. Allow each glute to work as hard as the other.  Strong glutes are so important for those performance athletes. Imagine running faster and cycling stronger. Kick start your day with a ☀️PERFECT☀️ stretch to open up your body for the day especially after sleeping with your legs curled up all night. Quadriceps Stretch.  Lay on your side and reach behind your back and pull your foot towards your back to get a stretch in the front of your hips and thigh. Hold this stretch for 1 minute and then turn over to the other side to stretch your other leg. Featured on @darling. Un oeuf entier par jour ne pose aucun problème, je vais vous confier un secret, j’en mange 2 chaque matin, oui 2 œufs entiers même en sèche hanlala… Et la semaine dernière, j’en mangeais même 4 au petit déjeuner !!! Oui c'est gras  mais pas que… 🚩 En plus des protéines et des lipides contenus dans les jaunes d’œufs , on y trouve des substances supers chouettes comme : 🔸 la choline qui aide au développement et au fonctionnement du cerveau 🔸 les caroténoïdes qui sont des antioxydants qui neutralisent les radicaux libres 🔸 les vitamines D, B2 et B12  Si vous êtes sensible au cholestérol, il suffit de limiter les jaunes d’oeufs à deux ou trois par semaine.
