Letzter längerer Testlauf für die #mizuno. Heute nochmal 11,5 km im 🐢-Wohlfühltempo, bevor ich nächste Woche um die Zeit hoffentlich happy auf der Couch liege. Die Nervösität vor dem #freiburghalbmarathon steigt langsam. Ich muss mich bremsen, dass ich mich nicht total verrückt mache. Aber so bin ich halt. I decided to start running again today. I've been wanting to do it for quite some time, but I kept making excuses. I was too busy with work, and school, and my family. I just wanted to relax. And many more. But that is life. My kids and family are always going to be here and wanting my time and attention. I will always be tired and stressed after a long day of work. I needed to make a sacrifice, and I did. I traded in my day shift and went to graveyard. As soon as I came home this morning, I changed and went for my run. It was rough, but also easier than I expected. Not a very good day of eating for me!!!! I just drank a tea mid-afternoon tea as we had a late breakfast... And for dinner we ordered a Turkish take-away. It could actually have been a lot worse though... The meat is mostly grilled and I had salad with it... I resisted the chips and nan bread! 😄 back to routine tomorrow... I'm not gonna lie.. I'm pretty shocked at 2.5lbs this week as it's not been my best week exercise wise. Or food wise really. Yet last week when I'd exercised every single day I only lost half a pound.. all goes to show how much your weight can fluctuate even on a daily basis. I've said for a few weeks now it isn't the numbers on the scale that motivate me any more.. it's the numbers on my FitBit where I'm constantly trying to beat my previous stats. Yield: 4 servings Ingredients: 2 Tbsp. low-fat (1%) plain yogurt 3 Tbsp. fresh lime juice, divided use 3 Tbsp. finely chopped cilantro, divided use 1 medium tomato, chopped ½ medium onion, chopped 1 medium jalapeno, seeds and veins removed, chopped (optional) 1 lb. white fish (like cod, halibut, or mahi mahi), washed, patted dry Sea salt (or Himalayan salt) (to taste; optional) 4 (6-inch) whole wheat tortillas, warm 1 cup shredded cabbage 4 lime wedges (for garnish; optional) Preparation: 1. Preheat grill or broiler on high. 2. To make yogurt sauce, combine yogurt, 2 Tbsp. lime juice, and 1 Tbsp. cilantro in a small bowl; mix well. Set aside. 3. To make salsa, combine tomato, onion, jalapeño (if desired), and 1 Tbsp. cilantro in a small bowl; mix well. Set aside. 4. Season fish with salt if desired. 5. Grill or broil fish for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. 6. Evenly top tortillas with fish, cabbage, and remaining 1 Tbsp. cilantro. Drizzle with remaining 1 Tbsp. lime juice, and yogurt sauce; garnish with lime wedges. I've been following endurance coach Chris Hinshaw and his work with crossfitters. 2 aerobic runs per week saw Khalipa, Fraser and Froning not only increase their work capacity but even improve their LIFTS!! The benefits are huge. Any workout lasting more than 1 minute will be at least 50% powered by the aerobic system.  If you're used to high intensity training, it can be hard to dial down the effort, but slow and long sessions are super important.  Plus it helps for those lean Vegas pool gains we're looking for.
