It'd be awesome if we stopped believing the lie that after kids we can't make fitness & nutrition a priority.. or that we can never get our body back. It's ridiculous and who made up that rule anyways? Is it harder? Yes. does it require more prioritizing? Yes. Is it a quick bounce back? Hardly ever. Is it worth it to make yourself a priority? Absolutely! The Power of Positive Thinking: Some of you know that I have been working towards getting a five minute plank. My longest time so far has been 2mins 5secs. Today I said to myself "I'm gonna do a three minute plank today" NOT I'm gonna TRY. NOT, MAYBE I will get a three minute plank today. Just I'm going to DO IT!! And even though my arms started shaking and I thought my back was going to explode, and the last 20 seconds felt like an eternity I did it. My new starting point isn't as bad as it was before. 9 pounds to hit my goal isn't bad but I'm about to push it a little further and try to lose 6% body fat. There are times (too many probably) I let "what if" sneak into my mind. It tries to stay there and mess with me. Thank you @momentumjewelry for the daily reminder that the journey is joyful when you stop to think about it.  These weights were heavy today! I could have let "what if" live in my head rent free while I'm pushing at @metabolicmeltdown but then I wouldn't be focused on the journey to see just how much I'm capable of.
