I tried some "Tofurky" sausages lastnight and I was surprised. The flavor I got was Andouille. It was a little spicy but pretty good! I bought their vegan deli meat but I haven't tried it yet. I need to buy their kielbasa! 😋@the_tofurky_company

One of my favourite creations! Portobello walnut meat over zoodles smothered in a vegan cashew alfredo sauce. Portobellos are so earthy and make a great meat substitute, especially combined with the nutty meaty texture of walnuts! And the cashew cream sauce is so easy and no yucky dairy side effects (acidity, inflammation, breakouts, gas, bloating...) I woke up earler. I completed lower fix extreme from 21 Day Fix Extreme. This workout was awesome. It was a mix of plyo, weights, and my favorite resistance bands at the end. Within 30 minutes, my legs were on fire. 😀💚💪 How was your workout today? 💓
I'm back home and back in bed. And all I want to do is sleep. I didn't workout today, I didn't get to stretch. I spent at least 8 hours in total sitting in cars and planes 🙃 and I didn't get the best food all day. (Although I did have a nice salad and spaghetti at lunch) My body feels all weird and my mind is going "you would have felt better if you did a workout" - which is true. But the situation is just what it is. • This has probably been the best reminder for me that things can happen suddenly and it can completely change what you're used to for the day/week/month/year. It's not going to be bad. It can throw you off your game and you might feel frustrated. But I could have complained and felt even worse about myself. I know we all do that. I used to do it all the time. I'm trying to do better. I don't complain like I used to if things aren't ideal. I don't use it as an excuse and I know tomorrow is another day to reset and start over. I'm trying to do better for my mental and emotional health. But I can't if I expect things to always be the way I want them to be.

VEGAN SWEET POTATO TAHINI BROWNIES by @healthyfrenchwife✨ Ingredients I used a square brownie pan. 450gr of puree sweet potatoe- about 2 medium potatoes 1/2 cup of almond milk or soy. 1/2 cup of buckwheat flour or wholemeal flour 2/3 cup of almond meal 1/2 cup of coconut sugar 5 tbsp of cacao Pinch of salt 1/3 cup of tahini Steam or boil your sweet potato, drain and leave to cool. Pre heat your oven to 175 degrees celsius and line a small brownie pan with baking paper. In a food processor add in the potatoes and all the other ingredients; Mix until very well combined. Spoon into your pan and place in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Keep it in the fridge for up to 1 week. #capetownvegan ✨
yeah, i basically put chocolate oats on top of my chocolate oats.... what are you gonna do about it 👊🏼 when i wake up super hungry, I put together this bad boy. Oats cooked with almond milk and cacao powder with chia seeds mixed in + top it with a extra ripe 🍌 and @18rabbits chocolate granola for some crunch since I like my oats extra creamy!!! It was SO BOMB and i always add more toppings after I eat the first layer 😂 I can't & won't resist!!! i'm going to film some sit down talking videos about some topics that I feel I need to speak about asap to get them on my channel and spoken about!! I'm so excited for you guys to see them!! I hope today is a productive day, I've been having very relaxing days recently but am ready to get 💩 done today!! I like to fill the bath with them and pour oat milk over myself as I skink into another dimension. 👹 * 💚Plant based or not this little seeds will be a beneficial addition to your nutritional plan. * ✌️2 table spoons of chai seeds equals: * 🍇double the amount of antioxidants has blueberries. * 🍼as much calcium as a half-cup of milk * 🍌As much potassium as a third of a banana * 🍘Five times the omega-3 content of a 1/4-cup serving of walnuts * 🍲More than double the fibre of 1 cup of oats * 🍃Double the amount of iron and magnesium of 1 cup spinach * 🎱Sprinkle on oats, add to smoothies, soups or make a chia pudding. * ⬇️Comment below on how do you incorporate chia seeds into your life?
Chocolate Chip Muffins 🍫 via @plant.powered.steph 1 1/2 cups AP flour 1/2 cup coconut sugar 1 tsp salt 2 tsp baking powder 3/4 cup creamy non-dairy milk *warmed as to not harden the coconut oil 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 cup refined** melted coconut oil 1 cup vegan chocolate chips • • • Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl and then add the milk, vanilla, and oil.. stir to combine then fold in chocolate chips. Spoon batter (it's thick) evenly to distribute into silicone molds. 400° for 20 mins or until the tops are light brown. Don't overcook!!
okay I'm done posting Amsterdam pictures (for now) but this cafe was so cute and although they weren't vegan or anything they were super nice and when my dad came back for their apple pie they still let me sit with my not-from-there smoothie and read for an hour+ but really everyone there was so nice
Summer berries are a seriously under-appreciated simplicity in life....they are one of my favorite things ever 😍 This morning's breakfast is steel cut oats (cooked, portioned out, and refrigerated overnight) mixed with 1 T watermelon seeds, cinnamon and liquid stevia, topped with berries, cashews, and a splash of almond milk. Why do you train? I personally dont train to sculpt my muscles or just to look good. I train because its fascinating to see what the human body is capable of and most importantly to reach total health. Building muscles is fine but the most important decision i make every day is, what do i put into my body and what can i do to improve my health? Because the quote we are what we eat is simply true. HAPPY HUMPDAY 🍑🙌 this is a very rare occurrence but incredibly I'm actually training legs on hump day- doing my squat focused workout today which should be gooood (though still have to use a smith machine because of the gym I'm using which is a bit 💩). Right now I'm training legs/glutes three times a week in order to try and gain some muscle as I always struggle gaining on my lower body. I've split it up so that I'm doing a squat focused day, a deadlift day and then one more accessory day where I just do what I feel like really. Fingers crossed it'll actually help grow some quads because I have serious quad envy from most of the people on here 😂 (hence why I tend to flex my biceps rather than trying to show off my non-existent leg muscles 😂😂).
