When I first started to work out.. I started to run.. I lived in Czech R. close to the forest and used to run daily there. Mainly to run away from pain, hurt, and myself.. And I started to have pain in my knees. So I stopped running.. Then I started to lift to be skinny... and eating to fill in my emptiness. . And damaged my body & mind more than I can say. . What really changed my life was realizing how much I was hurting myself..Maybe just a survivor instinct when I started to feel like a I'm trapped in my own life. In my own body.... . Only then I started to look into personal development and self-care. . It really isn't about skinny..It is about taking care of the only body and mind you are given.. How do you care about yourself?
First day I was allowed off to do my own thing in the #gym without the eyes of the boss on me !!! This food plan looks a bit random so want to put some context to it... Saturday, I am on a hen so will be enjoying all the festivities! 😀🍸Sunday morning, I suspect I will feel like something simple so just having toast. As breakfasts go, could be better, but could also be worse after a night out, so I am happy with it. I am then out for a big family lunch, so in the evening I will just have a light snack, if anything at all. The rest of the week is fairly normal. Having minestrone soup in the evening because both Giulio and I are working until 9pm Mon-Wed and at that time a quick, light meal is all we are after. Soup is perfect. Lunch will be heartier than it looks on those days with me putting the turkey meatballs with a variety of foods from sweet potato to lentils and pearl barley. This looks like a lot of planning for one week, but it really wasn't. It took 10 minutes and with 14 hour days coming up during the week, food is one less thing I need to think about now. Sometimes I intentionally plan to to eat everything "unhealthy" over the weekend. However, I have noticed that I am less likely to over indulge on the weekend when I set the tone right by eating healthy on Fridays. Been under the weather last 2-3 weeks, which has made me think hard about #health and #fitness . This is temporary right now but I FEAR the day my body will not permit me to go out n #hike and #swim and #play and #lift n #LIVE ! I am TERRIFIED by the thought of being like my grandparents (and unfortunately most Indian old people) bed-ridden, BROKEN, just counting down their days.
