I've been waiting for this package that @dima.kit ordered as a gift for me off of @kickstarter back in July. All day during work I could not contain my excitement over trying these #trainwithvi @harmankardon headphones out- luckily today was the perfect weather for a run! 🌳🌤🏃🏽♀️ . ...GUYSSS. It (she?) was awesome. I'll start with saying that the last run I did on the same exact route, I could barely motivate myself to run 3 miles- this time, thanks to the updates & vi's motivation, I ran over 5 without stopping. I don't think that I've ever run that long without a break before! . During my run, Vi gave me tips & tricks on interacting with her and using the headphones, and gave me updates and running tips based on my real-time progress, heart rate, speed, step count and goals! It was super easy to set up and use, and honestly very fun and motivating. . @trainwithvi let me know that I need two hours of running time for her to really personalize my training, so I have one more hour left before I can give another update. ◾️SHOULDERS◾️ 🔴🔵 It's another shoulder day! Nick is doing a standard Military Shoulder Press, nothing too fancy!! 😉 Tristen is doing a Y-Press which is a variation of the shoulder press! In the Y-Press, you keep your arms at a 90 degree angle and really focus on your shoulders doing the movement! It's a small movement but it can still really burn your shoulders!! 🔥
Another 5 mile day and 30 minute circuit... and what felt like 5 million squats throughout the day. Scale is continuing to move in my favor and I hope to keep it that way. The struggle is definitely real. I know I'm not where I was before my journey started (thank you, Jesus)... but I'm not where I want to be. I am getting back to making progress, and I will take that for now! I am pretty excited about this goal. I have always wanted to do something that would mean something or help someone...and this mission I'm on will help me and others! I used to not be the biggest fan of fruit but slowly I'm becoming crazy about them. They are so refreshing and are naturally sweet that if I have some sort of fruit in the morning, my sweet cravings are gone for the rest of the day! The best pairing for strawberries is, 🍓 + 🍫 (dark chocolate)! I also want you to try eating some sort of fruit in the morning and see if your sweet cravings die down.

Meant to post this earlier, but better late than never. I've been in a really bad head space the past week, it's made daily tasks very frustrating and almost impossible. I've been really hard on myself lately, and have been having melt downs when I make a mistake. Being able to see these progress pictures really helps put things to light. I've been working hard, sometimes too hard, and sometimes I still binge eat on junk, or starve myself because I feel guilty for treating myself once in a while. I need to remember to take a step back and breathe, and just take it one day at a time. I'm just trying to be the best me I can be. I'm back I'm back! Sorry I haven't been active for a couple of days.. I had a health scare 2 days ago but got the clear today that all is well! Anyway my dinner tonight after my 7 mile run is leftover minestrone soup from Olive Garden and not pictured is half a Greek quinoa salad from Panera (with light dressing and light cheese). Leaving tomorrow for vacation but I'll try to keep posting!
Happy hump dayyyy let's chat about squats 🙃 the mother, the doctor of all compound movements, the killer of all things weak, the destroyer of all things striving to be strong, the very exercise that makes me eat shit down two flights of stairs after leg day: SQUATS. First things first: it ain't no thang unless you have PROPER FORM. You need DEPTH. You need STABILITY. You need yo chest out, shoulders back, gaze forward kind of spinal form like yo momma bout to beat yo ass and you praying to God your statue-like appearance will make her forget your existence. You need to be synchronous in your breathing and squatting like your about to win a gold medal. Take a deep breath, contract your abs, and descend into the hell depths. Sit back in that chair like you the queen of effin England but don't you dare let those knees bow in like you're goddamn Bambi. If your knees are bowing, leave the gym, reenter, check your ego at the damn desk, and lighten your load because it's too heavy for your own good. Descend until your thighs are PARRALLEL to the floor. NOT like your hovering over that nasty bar toilet with barf on the seat, GET YOUR ASS LOWER. Hinge at your hips but keep your back straight otherwise your momma probably gonna get the belt. Leg day-- no better feeling than training a muscle group like legs on a day where you're not in the best mood. I always find I get the best workouts done when I'm mad/sad. Working out is my favorite stress reliever & it has been for years.
