Now here's a interesting fact for #transformationtuesday see, these photos don't look that dramatic I guess... But photo 1: seven months after giving birth to my third child, a week into going to kettlebells classes weight : 143 pounds (im about 5ft 3) mood: bad, hated myself, I wasn't exercising much as I had only just had kidney stents removed around this time, calories about 1000-1200 a day. photo 2: weight - 110 pounds mood: hungry all the time moody, terrified of "dirty food" terrified to miss a single exercise class, tired... Calories : around 500-1200 depending on how neurotic I felt except on "cheat day" where I binged all day on "clean treats" photo 3: weight 148 pounds, mood: mainly pretty consistent and happy, stressed at work but I think that's normal :) calories : about 1800-2200 depending on how much I can stuff in my face between work, 3 kids and the gym... This #yoke is so versatile! Today was a light day, around 90-100kg (tbc once I know the yoke weight empty) doing some #squats from the bottom position x 5, followed by #zercher hold for 15 seconds. Glutes felt it for sure!
Forget the new year new you BS and all these pathetic quick fixes full of empty promises by money grabbing inexperienced fitness trainers or weight loss plans that do nothing but strip you of your hard earned muscle making your metabolism slower than a sloth on Valium. Instead just get active and get lifting at least 3-4 times a week . Ditch carbs early in the day , drink plenty of water and keep protein high. Cut sugar and fizzy drinks like cola. Include fasted cardio/workouts a minimum of twice a week and include sprints into your weekly workouts at least 3 times a week . These can be an addition to your current workout so for e.g. You train in the early a.m and throw some additional sprint work in the evening . This can be short and sweet and no longer than a 10-15 min workout pushing yourself to the absolute max. I believe that balance is key but I'm a true believer of hard work and unless you are putting in 110% into your workouts your just not going to see the physical results your looking for even if you are eating well. If you want to achieve something that you've never had, you must do something that you've never done 👌🏽I can't explain the opportunities that have come my way & ultimately how much my happiness has improved all by taking a chance to pursue something I love (& I haven't even stepped on stage yet💪🏽👙✨)but it is HARD work. I am drained every single day, my body aches, I'm craving any food that isn't on my prep diet, but I want to succeed & that by far outweighs any of the above. SWEAT IT OUT 💦 - Literally had a craaaazy day so decided to sweat out the stress with a quick weight sesh. Added 2kg to my deadlifts which I am genuinely happy about, despite my sad face saying otherwise 👍🏻😂🙈

I remember last year exactly this time of the year I was prepping to my first (and probably last) fitness competition 😆 I was constantly worried about my body... am I gonna be too big? Am I gonna be too small? Am I gonna be "the fat girl" on the stage? It was really tough especially mentally... But here I am 😊 2017 one year later I am feeling confident about my body, about my life and I feel like everything is going to the right direction. Because sometimes the hardest route leads you into the most beautiful destination. I am training because I love it. I am lifting heavier then ever. I am feeling healthy. I am feeling confident in my own skin.
