It has taken me 22 MONTHS to get to where I am. I had my 4th (and final) baby 2 years ago on March 29th. I started working out 3 weeks after I had him and have been pretty darn consistent since then. I make the choice to get up every day and workout because I feel better when I do. I make mindful food choices 90% of the time. I have taken 1 step forward and 2 steps back A LOT. It's been hard but it has also gotten easier. Whatever you're working towards, keep at it. It will come with time, patience and most important, consistency.

#FLEXFRIDAY#Repost @confessionsofasuperfoodie ・・・ Two years ago I was eating low carbs, running 5 or more miles every day & doing CrossFit. I looked good but I was 10 lbs off my goal weight & couldn't understand why my body wasn't changing. I felt cheated working so hard & not having the body I wanted & I was miserable depriving myself of the food I loved! ☹️ Then I discovered Flexible Eating & was told that not only could I eat carbs & lose weight but those carbs could come from things like pizza 🍕& ice cream 🍦 & cookies 🍪😍I was skeptical at first, I mean maybe my body just didn't know how to process carbs. Well @jasonackerman78 set me straight, I wasn't special 😂 my body needs carbs just like everyone else's! And he was right. Change is hard & it took me a while to trust the process. But after 3 months of consistently tracking my macros whilst traveling around the world & eating delicious foods, I hit my goal weight & started seeing abs. Happy days 🤗 Now I don't run for exercise anymore, I run when I feel like it & truly enjoy it. I eat the foods I love & consume 600 more calories than when I started and continue to get stronger & leaner 💪🏻Flexible Eating has transformed my body & my mindset. Exercise shouldn't be a form of punishment & eating shouldn't cause anxiety.
One of my off-season goals checked off my list today. ✊🏼 Finally able to rep out 225 on deads. I first did 225 X 2 X 2 but I felt like I had a little more so I went for 225 X 3 and pulled it out. Not gonna lie the last rep was a grind and I wanted to drop it but I continued to try and it paid off. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this especially because I changed form a couple weeks ago. Great way to bring in the weekend! 🤗
Hello! How are your goals going? Oh, not so great? -- STOP LOOKING DOWN ON YOURSELF. We would never look down on someone else who was trying their best for making a mistake or not being perfect. So why is it so easy to look down on ourselves? Why are we so quick to retreat back into self doubt and thoughts of inadequacy and guilt when we "fall off" or fail at something? Failure is a sure sign of progress and falling is a sure sign of strength. If we are continually working towards our goals then failure is guaranteed. Falling is part of the process. All that matters is that we don't keep OURSELVES from progressing by staying down and buying into the bullshit that falling or failing is something to be embarrassed about. You're gonna fail. You're gonna fall. Then you're gonna pick yourself up and get back at it, and you'll be STRONGER than ever.😎👊🏼 // Understanding this is key to what should be your most important goal of all -- REALIZING YOU ARE INFINITELY AWESOME. And you deserve to know it. We all deserve to feel healthy and HAPPY. We deserve to love ourselves.❤️ . . . #bbgcommunity#bbg#bbgbabes#bbggirls#bbgmoms#bbgmums#fit#fitness#fitmom#fitnessmotivation#fitspo#fitspiration#fitchick#fitfam#fitlife#healthyliving#selflove#bodyconfidence#beyourself#bopo#athletic#cleoharper

1.20.17 Unrelated video, kind of, but I wanted to talk about this Muscle Activation business I'm trying. First of all, I'd love to hear if any of you have any experience with this? In my quest to cure my Plantar Fasciitis without surgery I've stumbled upon MAT (Muscle Activation Technique). My first appointment was on Wednesday and I walked out of there feeling both hopeful and a bit confused. I have a number of questions for the good Dr. when I go back since it was quite the whirlwind the first time. His theory is that my brain stem was partially pinched by my c1 and c2 vertebrae; with that happening nerves weren't able to fire properly to specific muscles when an injury occurred. So those muscles didn't kick into gear to support that weak spot and others around them were working over time, creating an imbalance and other possible injuries in my body. Within this muscle testing, he found I am not using ANY in either of my feet or ankles, so that fascia ligament is taking all of the stress and pressure I put on my body. There were some other random ones he found: my rhomboids, an inner quad and my right glute? That's a big muscle that I've been working and seen growth in for years - so I'm curious as to how that works if it's "shut down". Anyway, I gave him my design budget cash, cried a little for the drapes and side tables I have to wait on and will be driving a round trip of 6 hours once a week to activate all these guys in my body. I am at the end people; I've tried EVERYTHING. Next up might be surgery and I want to avoid that. I talk about it in my IG story if you want to hear more. It'll be up till 5 pm today, I think. Anyway - have a Good Friday, go throw some ropes around! 😉 #muscleactivation#plantarfasciitis#ropes#flexfriday#bodybywhitney
My lunch yesterday: 1/2 an orange; white cheddar rice cakes topped with 1/2 a smashed avocado, spinach, and seasoned ground chicken. It was delish! 😋P30,C33,F16. Don't be fat phobic, avocados are high in mono saturated fat which will actually lower your bad (LDL) cholesterol - reducing your risk of heart disease. They are also full of almost all the recommended daily intake vitamins and minerals such as vit B( energy boosting), C, and folate(important in pregnancy). Have you tried avocado as a mayonnaise replacement? How do you eat avocados? 🌱
