So, follow me on this... I am a firm believer in holding myself accountable and I know some of the "critics", (NICE way of saying haters) think I post selfies and weight pics to be funny. WRONG! I struggle with my weight DAILY! I've been sitting on 155 since September and I've fluctuated between 155 and 156 for the last THREE months. With the help of a few friends who train I FINALLY broke out of the 155 range. I weighed myself this morning and BOOM, 154.2. I had to shock my body and do somethings differently. I say that to say this, its ONE pound, BUT if you lose 1 pound per day you've still lost weight. I hope this helps someone. If you thought about starting Monday--START TODAY! If you started Monday and fell off--START OVER TODAY. I'M WITH YOU....LET'S DO THIS! ONE year ago December 7th 2015, I weighed 251. I weighed myself at my neighbor's house, because I refused to by one. In fact, I didn't buy a scale until I had lost 51 pounds (pic on the bottom left). In one year I've lost 95 pounds and I have never felt better! My health is MUCH BETTER, self confidence is through the roof, and I'm no longer shy about being in public. I say that to say this, don't wait till January to "reset" START TODAY! Is it hard, HELL YEAH! But I am a walking testimony to mind over matter. So, let's be honest for a moment, can we? Ok! As a former fat girl, holidays are the worst for me! Its been my pattern to lose weight over the summer and gain it all back PLUS some during November-May. Because I know this about myself and I know my limitations as my weakness for cheese and sweets, I decided to run a 5K today and workout everyday the week I'm off. Ok this may be minor to those of you who have done this 1,267 times, BUT allow me to reflect. Okay so, this time last year I was 251 pounds and walking up the stairs in my home was a task, to say the least. I am SO proud of what I accomplished today and of my lifestyle change in general. I am PROOF that mind over matter is ALL YOU NEED when trying to achieve goals you set. I am addicted--addicted to myself, my goals, and my new found hobby.
