The thing with posting a #progresspic or #transformationpic is that you make yourself extremely vulnerable by showing everyone the "before"- and this is usually something you weren't happy or confident with, right? It's great to receive positive comments on your #progress but just a single negative one can hurt a lot. I had one person saying "why so little progress in such a long time" and it kinda stuck with me. And I still remember seeing a comment on the amazing progresspics by @mysweatlife (this was on facebook, I think a post by #shapemagazine a while ago). The comment went something like: the difference is only the lighting, the fake tan, better make up and better outfit. It really annoyed my when I read it (that's probably why I still remember). I mean, of course these differences are there too! And why wouldn't they?! When you take a "before" picture it's usually just a quick snap for yourself that you never intend to show anyone. When you take a picture of your progress you know you will most likely show it to people. You are proud of what you have achieved after all. So of course you aren't gonna take it in your white cotton undies and your out of bed hair 🤔 And yet, progress is still visible. People who get hung up on "details" like lighting, outfit or tan instead of recognizing the hard work people have put into improving their health and looks are probably just sitting on the sofa trying to find excuses not to get up and do the same thing! 😤👊🏻#noexcuses#nobodyshame @shape_de @inshape_beauty #bodyconfidence#strongnotskinny
NEW SQUAT WHO DIS?¡¿! this is some footage of what my routine has looking like on leg days lately! unfortunately, I had to take a break from barbell squats bc I have anterior pelvic tilt (aka fake bad b*tch). because of this, my squat form has just gotten worse the more weight I try and put on the bar. the first two moves are helping to combat the pelvic tilt and the landmine squats are helping me relearn proper form of squatting (chest up, depth, etc). though it I was initially bummed to have to do this, I know that this is going to help me greatly in the long run as I am able to add weight to the bar. it's been a pretty humbling experience and a nice reminder that although I feel I've somewhat advanced this past year and a half of lifting, I still have SO much to learn. I'm letting this ignite that fire within myself that made me fall in love with lifting in the first place as I continue to develop proper form and work on this physique! videos are heavily sped up. 1. bird dogs 2. dead bugs 3. landmine squats p.s. - make sure the butt looks ugly at the top of your landmine squats lol
Last night I made a promise to myself... We aren't perfect that is the great thing about being human there are so many times where you get to learn more about yourself and who you are becoming So when reflecting on the choices I've made ringing in the New Year there have been some that are amazing.. But some that I know in my mind I've let slip I don't know if you have read the Miracle Morning but this book changed the game for me earlier last year and it builds off the basic foundation of putting yourself first I've been lazy.. And I promise you I have! Getting up later, slipping on nutrition, mid day naps and excuses to put off some work because I just didn't feel like "doing it" The fact is I LOVE what I do deep down to the core because over 2 years it's taught me the value of self love but sometimes we get comfy and complacent So, I'm not changing everything all at once that just sets us up for failure but I've made a promise for my days to start earlier and my commitment to be solid and consistent with the tasks that are put in front of me We can be okay at a whole bunch of stuff or REALLY good at a couple things... let's get hungry for the really good ✌🏻 30/60

When I share what I do as an online health and fitness coach, I always get questions about what it is EXACTLY that I do. There are four behaviors that I follow every day that are the basic elements of this "job." *Each and every day I make a conscious effort to fuel my body with whole, healthy, and fresh foods, all in the correct portions for my body. Would you be surprised to hear that there really aren’t any health goals you can achieve without it? Extreme as that question may be, the simple truth is, you just cannot get healthy without eating healthy. You can exercise all day long, but if you are fueling your body with garbage afterwards, you are going nowhere fast. *The next thing that I commit myself to doing daily is working up a sweat. I get my body moving and raise my heart rate each day to improve my mood, me boost my energy. Along with a healthy eating plan, daily exercise can help your body maintain or lose weight. *Before I get out of bed each morning, I read a few pages of personal development to help grow my mind and build myself up in a world that is determined to bring me down. *After all of this is done, I then use my time to encourage others. My coaches and challengers are first and foremost on that list. I believe in them and the changes that they are making for themselves, so I make sure that they know that! I want them to realize their potential!!!! ***Now, looking back over all of these things that I do, as a part of my job, each day, aren't these things that we should be doing in our lives anyway?*** We should be striving to live a healthy life, in this body that we have been given to live in. We should be making the most of this life that we have been given, instead of going through the mundane motions of life that society believes we should live. We should not only be building ourselves up to be better, each and every day, but we should also be encouraging others to do the same! So, this is what I do, each and every day. Then I share it with you, so that you can do the same!
#nevermissamonday Today's workout happened after work. I chose to sleep in a little late instead. Tried to wear my hot pink shirt the whole workout cause it's cute, but i couldn't make it. 😅😅😅🤣 Who else is getting their workout in later in the day?
Giving gifts is one of my love languages, but it's also nice to receive them once in awhile!!! Ahhhh!!!! These beauties came in the mail this weekend from my coach, along with a handwritten card congratulating me on hitting a goal last month!!!! I can not wait to use these items to continue planning and goal setting for 2017!!! Thanks girl!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Happy Monday! Today is day 9 of my plant based 21 day cleanse and I am feeling amazing!!! Apparently this girl can't tell the difference between a real ice cube and a fake one. Totally blended up a fake ice cube in my first attempt to make this shake...I was wondering why the blender was so loud! 😂 #dailyblondemoment
Another late workout post today...it has taken me forever to clip it!! Loving the weights....today was 10 reps, 8 reps, 6 reps & repeat!!! I got to use the 20 pounders I schlepped through the mall yesterday😂😂 #lovingweights#liftrestrepeat
You know what's so ironic? What's so ironic is that we can see the beauty in our friends, mothers, aunts, sisters & daughters...& in the photos of them, but we can't stand to see a photo of ourselves 🙅🏻 ... You know what I'm talking about... the pro moves like the "duck & cover" when a camera gets pulled out? You avoid family photos or any photo for that matter where your image maybe captured? 😌📸 ... In all the highs and lows that I experienced over the years… I never really avoided the camera (but funny how it worked... I sure was 'behind' the camera in a lot of them ;)), but I speak to many women all the time who do 😌... & I can tell without even knowing them... ... Their profile picture on social is of a cat, or rainbow, or some other serene setting. It's not always the case, but many times it's because they actually don't have a photo of themselves or if they do... too much inward judgement going on for them to feel confident enough to post it 🙁 ... The truth is… your ego is driving that train, sister! Your kids, family, friends, loved ones… The people who adore your laugh, your smile and love you just the way you are… they're missing you💕! And when you're gone from this earth there will be no record of you! No pictures for your kids to look back on about the memories made… nope they'll always just remember that you weren't in the picture! ... So, in 2017 how about you put yourself back in the picture again?! 📸😆 ... Stop waiting for perfection and the perfect permanent record. Life isn't waiting... it's happening right now… ... Look... you don't have to take a million selfies... just show up & know what your partner, kids, loved ones are going to see in that picture? Not your imperfections, not your flaws... nope! They're going to be too distracted looking at the person that they love ❤️ ...
