One downside of #countryliving is that the cold weather brings in #fieldmice :0 !!! Apparently a mouse can have 5-10 litters per year, so if you see any, act fast! I do not have a cat, because they are predators who kill birds, besides, I travel a lot. I did not want to use poison because I did not want to play the where's-the-dead-mouse-stench coming from??? So i've set out covered #gluetraps#tomkat#mousetraps and plugged in #VictorPestChaserPro#RodentRepeller - the jury is still out on the sonic repeller ... mixed reviews on Amazon (I go there for reviews regardless of where I shop). I bought it at #Lowes for $29. The device IS audible to humans .It does not go through drapes, furniture, walls etc. I still hear at least one mouse, but I haven't caught any on glue traps since it's been plugged in... like I said inconclusive. Not pictured is the #earthkind#stayaway#botanicalrepellent , a herbal sachet that smells quite pleasant to me, but apparently mice hate #balsamfiroil . I've read mice dislike #mint , so I added some essential oil to the cheapest #vodka I could find to make a cleaner. I also tried mint added to #vinegar and #bleach near food and dishes. I have put all food sources in hard side containers , but these mice ate tea bags! My PG Tips! I'm snobby about my tea ya'll. So, lesson learned, containerize everything. I save the 42oz oatmeal cannisters to store lots of things. #blackgirloffgrid is not playing with these mice - they've got to go!
