Meal prep this week...#bbgweek4 ------ Breakfast ☕️protein coffee with almond milk, smoothie with protein powder, #bcaa , fruit/berries 🍓or protein pancakes with almond butter and sliced banana 🍌 ------ Snacks: 10 almonds 🥜, whole fruits 🍎 ------ Meal 1 🥗green salad with turkey meatballs, homemade lemon tahini dressing, guacamole for meatballs 🥑 ------ Meal 2 🍗coconut curry chicken with green beans, carrots, broccoli served with coconut cauliflower rice 🍚 (an extra meatball added to a couple to up the protein for my hubby) 👍🏻 ------ Drinks: water, herbal tea ------ Extra meals: green salad, brown rice pasta with ground beef, tomatoes tossed in pesto (my hubby needs to eat more than I do so I also cook a little extra for him ❤️) ------- 💪containers by @mealprephaven 💪 @orgainproducts 💪 @birchbenders

How often do we "start" something on a Monday, fall off by Thursday and then promise to recommit the following Monday?  Change isn't achieved in one step or in one day. While bursts of effort and intention can get things moving, the lasting results come from daily habits. And the difference is made in the small choices. Whether it be a goal of getting healthier, writing a book, saving money or making this your best year, do it one day, one step at a time.  You don't lose 50 lbs. You lose one pound, 50 times.  You don't write 200 pages. You write one page, 200 times.  You don't save a thousand dollars, you save one dollar, one thousand times.  You don't have a great year. Roasted Vegetable Soup topped with Hickory Smoked Bacon 🌿 Recipe below 👇🏻 ✖️✖️ Roast your favourite Veggies and 4 unpeeled cloves of garlic in the oven at 200/400 degrees for approx 45 minutes. I used sweet potato, carrots, broccoli and tomatoes. Season with chilli powder, salt & pepper. *Remember to remove skin from garlic before blending.* Once veggies are tender blend them with two cups of chicken stock and transfer to a sauce pan. Blend in multiple batches to ensure a smooth consistency. Add about a teaspoon of paprika powder, simmer and continue adding chicken stock until desired thickness. Add additional salt and pepper as needed. I thought I'd also take a moment to mention two ladies who inspire me, my sisters! My big sister is the biggest girl boss I know. She's gutsy and brave and I remember over 10 years ago when we were trying to work out pricing at her house and neither of us knew but she took a chance and worked hard and now she is one of the leading experts in her field. Then there's my little sister she's just starting out on her business dreams and she's really nervous and scared but I know when she starts believing in herself she'll be just as successful as my big sister. I'm literally DYING over here.....my hubs had LASIK surgery today and has to walk around with these hilarious goggles on for the rest of the day and I just can't handle it!  It's hilarious to say the least!  But in all honesty, his surgery was at a clinic an hour from our house and OBVIOUSLY he wasnt going to be driving himself home from it (he was all looped up!  I so wish I had it on video 😂) so I had to drive down with him and pick him up!  Doesn't sound like a big deal, but 3 years ago I would have had to use a vacation day for something like that!  The fact that he came home a few weeks ago, told me the surgery was on a Monday at 10am and I didn't even bat an eye about it, automotacy said OK, and that was that, was something I will never take for granted!  Freedom...that's what this coaching opportunity has given me.... freedom to say YES to whatever!  It's hard work and it took 2 years to make this a full time thing, but 3 years is NOTHING compared to a lifetime of having to ask off for stuff like this!  Why have you joined me yet?! I didn't manage more the 2 rounds each but I did it and I am dripping now. Feels amazing to even just get the workout done. It doesn't matter how much I did or put in I still did it. Wowohhhhh I'm so proud of myself. Five weeks PP this Friday. Time to get serious health-wise and get fit after having Aila. I'm going to start without counting macros, eating based on my breastfeeding needs because you ❤have❤ to eat enough for your supply to keep up. If I don't see progress, I'll start counting and add 300-500 calories to compensate. Five weeks PP this Friday. Time to get serious health-wise and get fit after having Aila. I'm going to start without counting macros, eating based on my breastfeeding needs because you ❤have❤ to eat enough for your supply to keep up. If I don't see progress, I'll start counting and add 300-500 calories to compensate. I am TWO WEEKS out from my half marathon!!! My training has been basically nothing, but I am feeling good thanks to #bbg (although that hasn’t been so consistent lately either!) however tonight at running club I started to really excited for the race. It’ll be my fourth HM, and they’re really fun; I mean you get to eat every 5km so it’s basically a party 😂 But seriously, I have some positive affirmations that I say while running and once I settle into my breath i feel quite ok. So I’m going to aim for some interval training this week, one 15K run this weekend and then just have fun 🙌🏻 #run#runnergirl#runhappy#runner

I have a love hate relationship with beets🥗 The first time I tried them, I was very skeptical... And to be honest, they tasted like dirt! Since I’ve started my fitness journey my palate has changed so much. I crave these meals now! . . However, that is not to say it didn’t take time for me to get here. *flashback to my first plain Greek yogurt experience* 😂 We have to be patient with our bodies, because these changes are not made easy overnight. I got the Fitbit Charge 2 last week and I’m really in love with it. I had the Charge HR for a year before the band started peeling and was offered this one because of great customer service! It came at a great time (I feel like I sound like an ad but it’s not!) Working a desk job and having to take a break from high intensity workouts due to my back sucks, but I’m loving the nudges to move more throughout my day. I’m also love the advance sleep monitoring and the guided breathing (which was nice to have during my weekend panic) and GPS for my walks (where I’d rather be running but...). Evening all😴 something I wanted to talk about today real quick is EATING ENOUGH🍴🍳🍗🍏 In the past before I got into fitness I didn't track calories, and didn't really think about eating. I used to skip breakfast and not eat until lunch which thinking back was HELL NO cause now I have to HAVE my morning porridge😂😅 I have had a few stages where I thought that I could lose a few pounds of fat here or there, and wanting to lose it FAST, I cut my calories drastically. BIG mistake🙅🏻 I ended up losing most of my muscle mass and actually gained body fat.  When you starve your body of energy and nutrients, it clings onto the fat for dear life. You also have to feed the muscles so they remain💪🏼 When cutting you're bound to lose a little muscle but you really don't have to cut drastically to see results🙃 In this picture I had just started cutting and was eating around 1600 calories a day.  Just make sure you are eating enough if you want to lower that body fat percentage. FEED yourself, you'll see much better results that way😇  #Eatmorenotless #loveyourself

I've been doing a lot more glute focused exercises on leg day. I figured my 2 @soulcycle rides a week kill my legs (in a good way, of course) so I spend my time squeezing and squatting away 😂 I do feel like at my age, I've gotta work a lil harder to keep everything perkier, am I right?! 😝

Hey guys 👋🏼 . So as requested by SOSOSOOSSOOOOOO many over the past few months but me being the useless person I am haven't got round to it... I was originally going to do a YouTube video and then my iPhone decided that actually no babe... no storage left for you! 😩 . So I've put this together I've stated earlier that I am going to be posting loads more for you all food and training wise as I'm now switching up my diet and training plan and going to try and eat more and train harder to build more muscle 🏋🏼‍♀️💪🏼 . Anyway here it is guys (wishing I could give you accurate measurements... but ermmm I don't do that I just pour and go, sorry I'm like the worst fitness insta ever) 😂 .  Breakfast was oats and blueberries (I pour boiling water on my oats instead of milk) as I'm trying to avoid too much dairy, only in my tea because I'm super English like that ☕️👌🏼 . Pre gym session was half a breast if baked chicken with asparagus and long broccoli stems 🍗 . Post workout was just a 1/2 shake from my faves @womensbest I am currently using Vanilla and Raspberry flavour and... oh em geeee 😍 . Dinner - oh holy moly I've been dying to try these veggie burgers since seeing someone post them on Instagram I believe it was @lisafiitt correct me if I'm wrong but yeah I was like wow yeah I'm going straight to Tesco, Homemade sweet potato wedges and a fresh corn 🌽🍠 . Hey guys 👋🏼 . So as requested by SOSOSOOSSOOOOOO many over the past few months but me being the useless person I am haven't got round to it... I was originally going to do a YouTube video and then my iPhone decided that actually no babe... no storage left for you! 😩 . So I've put this together I've stated earlier that I am going to be posting loads more for you all food and training wise as I'm now switching up my diet and training plan and going to try and eat more and train harder to build more muscle 🏋🏼‍♀️💪🏼 . Anyway here it is guys (wishing I could give you accurate measurements... but ermmm I don't do that I just pour and go, sorry I'm like the worst fitness insta ever) 😂 . Breakfast was oats and blueberries (I pour boiling water on my oats instead of milk) as I'm trying to avoid too much dairy, only in my tea because I'm super English like that ☕️👌🏼 . Pre gym session was half a breast if baked chicken with asparagus and long broccoli stems 🍗 . Post workout was just a 1/2 shake from my faves @womensbest I am currently using Vanilla and Raspberry flavour and... oh em geeee 😍 . Dinner - oh holy moly I've been dying to try these veggie burgers since seeing someone post them on Instagram I believe it was @lisafiitt correct me if I'm wrong but yeah I was like wow yeah I'm going straight to Tesco, Homemade sweet potato wedges and a fresh corn 🌽🍠 . He has been fighting off a fever and some sort of cold for the past 2 days, so I stayed home with him today. I hope whatever it is goes away soon. I hate seeing him not well. *I get by with a little help from my friends*  I used to stop and start workout programs like it was my job 😂 I'd stick with it for a few weeks, see some progress, then feel content only to binge on all my favourite treats, reversing any progress I had seen.  One of the toughest parts was trying to make such a significant change on my own. It was something I wanted to do for ME, but I struggled when others around me weren't doing the same. I would get discouraged because I had "no willpower" (which I am not even sure is a real thing... more on that later) and I had serious FOMO when it came to social events that were related to food and drink.  It was a repetitive cycle that I found really difficult to get out of UNTIL I started leaning on others on a similar journey. I created a network of women who were experiencing and struggling with the same things I was, and I knew I could count on them to pick me up when I was down.  I STRONGLY believe the big piece missing at every gym is the lack of social support. I know it was for me. Accountability (to yourself and others) is a HUGE piece of sticking to a program. And that is one of the reasons why I started running health and fitness challenge groups.  In my groups you get: 🏋🏼‍♀️A fitness program that can be done from home or the gym, often in just 20-30 mins! 🍏An easy to follow meal plan that is all about eating the proper food to fuel your body, not restriction 👭Access to my support groups, where we share motivation, recipes, meal prep tips, and an occasional funny meme 🍦30 easy on-the-go superfoods meals that legit taste like ice cream 🤸🏼‍♀️Me as your coach- your own personal resource, someone to cheer you on the entire time, and someone who is NOT going to let you fail.  If this sounds like something you'd be into, give me a shout! There are FOUR spots left in my October challenge group, starting Monday Oct 2. Repeat for 10 minutes and then push yourself to do two more.
