backstage vibes 😂 had major frustrating moments during rehearsal today (show opens in 19 days) and i really didn't wanna do week 7 legs/cardio but DID IT ANYWAYS 🙌🏻🙏🏼💪🏼 and ate well all day and now i'm just chillin watching tv knowing tomorrow will be better. cause it has to be- right? 😳 #letsgetit
sat and sun were rest days for me 😎 so i made sure to eat really well all day both days! i diiiiid snack late night both nights- sat night on popcorn and sun night on gf cereal (i know- not the worst. at all. lol but meh felt gross the next morn each time) SO: back on my grind today (monday)-- cause you're **allowed** to fall off the wagon and hop RIGHT back on. i used to punish myself for days "well might as well keep eating bad/binging since i did this one meal"... proud to say i don't think like this anymore! #letsgetit (AND PS: those are eggless eggs!!! how fucking cool)
Yesterday was all travel, home just in time for mini's (nowadays) horrendous bedtime which squeezed the last gram of energy out of me... 1 hour 45 mins 👊🏼 toughest "workout" of the week 😴 Getting up this morning was HARD I was planning on abs + Liss to work, but given the energy level... I reduced it to "just" #bbg2 week 14 abs - was definitely feeling the 🔥🔥🔥 Now hubs is leaving for three days in Paris with work 😓... slightly apprehensive about bedtime, but it will be fine! 💪🏼 #flexing to remind myself I'm STRONG! #postworkoutselfie
after getting 2 kick ass workouts in on friday i had a daaaank smoothie (frozen banana, cacao powder, dates, peanut butter, ice, almond milk topped with cacao nibs and honey) while wearing my @lushcosmetics coffee mask 💁🏻 and then had a @lushcosmetics bath afterwards!! THEN had myofascial release on my shoulder- hadn't gone in 3 months. was so necessary 🙏🏼 #letsgetit
Haven't had oatmeal for a long while so decided to make it for breakfast today! 👅 🍌🍌Banana Oats with lots of colourful fruits - 🍓strawbs, 🥝Kiwi, 🍌banana, persimmons(!!!) + chiaseeds and coconutchips + a generous spoonful of @mayversfood original super spread 👌🏼❤️💚💛 STIR EVERYTHING TGT AND ENJOY WARM 😚
on friday i wore my favorite shirt to yoga 😎 and i was proud of myself because i woke up early enough to eat breakfast beforehand! i am always SO weak if i don't eat anything in the morning before working out so i def need to get better at eating SOMETHING even if it's just a granola bar (this bar i actually ate AFTER yoga ;) breakfast was the usj bagel avocado etc). then after this i smashed BBG legs and cardio and D I E D LOL 😳☠️😂😂 #letsgetit
I had a wonderful workout today! I started off with my C25K workout - I am now on week 3. Each week, I am just amazed at how well I'm doing given that running is not a strength of mine. After that, I did BBG Week 2: Legs & Cardio. :) Then tonight, I went to a hatha yoga class and it was amazing!! I never really liked yoga but I decided to give it another try this year and I've been really enjoying it. I joined a yoga studio towards the end of last month and my goal is to go 4-5 times a week in the evenings after work and on the weekends. My back has been bothering me a lot lately due to my herniated discs so I'm hoping that yoga will not only ease my pain but also help me to de-stress and regain my flexibility. 😌 It's funny how I'm doing two things I never really liked: yoga and running haha! I'm not sure what changed about me in these last few months but I'm loving it! ❤

CHALLENGE YOURSELF! 🙌🏽 One thing that I've LOVED about getting into rock climbing is that I have no idea what my limits are. I see an interesting climb and think, "That looks FUN!" 😍 Sometimes I put my hands on it and it's like um no, but others, I climb right up. I've been stalking @sashadigiulian recently (world champion 🙌🏽) and in one of her interviews she talked about not letting *preconceived* boundaries limit us. 💡 Like how many times have you said, "Oh no! I can't do that!" without even trying?! I know I have! And guess what? Even if you actually can't yet, that boundary is only temporary - as long as you challenge it. It only becomes permanent when we refuse to try, when we refuse to see what we can do, when we continue to live within outdated or imaginary limits. #thefutureisfemale and there is nothing you and I can't do. 👊🏽 // This weekend, I got lead certified (clipping the rope into anchor points as you climb) AND tonight, I completed a V5 boulder on my first try. 😱 (It was mainly flexibility and balance BUT STILL!) If I had over-analyzed it or compared my body and skills to the other climbers, I may have not even tried. And I would have totally missed out! ✨ Be bold in trying that one thing. That one thing you've always wanted to do. The very sweaty selfie of a very happy Sandra 😁 I completed #week5 of legs (my favourite, not😒) today and it's the first time in what feels like a year that I was able to push myself to the 2nd month as I usually give up before then. Definitely feel like I got over a major road block which will give the motivation to keep pushing through! Also! Took my one month progress photo today and while I am not ready to share it with the world, I am very happy with the results so far :) can't wait to see what the next month will bring!
Favorite 5km running partners! I actually have Bella (right) to thank for the fact that I run. I always loved walking and hiking but never thought I could run consistently. After we got Bella, we started the journey together and worked up slowly.... then Maya (left) joined about 18months later and we were a team! Week 2 leg day complete✔️💦 I hope everyone's hanging in there💛!!! Here's something to remember and be prepared for- we will have days that we DON'T want to exercise. On these days we have to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and get errr' done👊🏼. We are COMMITTED! And we are NOT alone, we have this amazing, supportive community! 💛💛
[hokey poké] . ..you do the hokey poké and you turn yourself around... that's what it's all about. // feeling a bit more grounded after yoga and dinner with friends. 🙂 // I realized, during yoga, that I really do need to spend more time doing things for me. // if I'm being honest, eating healthy and working out...it isn't really for me. I know I need to be better and I do it because I genuinely (and desperately) want to feel good in my own skin. But it's not for me. // It's for self-esteem. for confidence. for self-love. // Working out isn't always fun for me. It's kind of a chore. 😕 it's like brushing my teeth...I know I need to do it every day (twice a day!) but it's not fun. And it's not really doing anything for me mentally or emotionally... // but yoga.. yoga is for me. That's my time to decompress. time to self-reflect & detoxify & let go. // I don't feel guilty if I need to modify or stop for water or if I can't do a handstand. Everything feels like it's within arms' reach. There's nothing that makes me feel more in tune with myself than flowing. // and that was my epiphany for the night. I'm trying so desperately to love working out as much as you all do. It's almost contagious, your enthusiasm for working out! & the after-workout endorphins are real! But I don't really look forward to it. I'm never like.. Ooh! Time to brush my teeth! (Okay, sometimes, I do..) But I do it. Because I know I should. And because I'd like to keep my teeth. // thank you so much for all the sweet comments on my last post. I started crying again so I'll respond when the feels pass 😘 but honestly, I'm so grateful for you babes. // and for those of you that are in the same boat...all I can say is, find something that's for you. Make sure you're making time to nourish yourself mentally & emotionally. Whether it's working out or yoga or cooking or binging tv or knitting or painting or something! Find an outlet. It's so important.
Anybody else get their #bbgworkout in while watching @thebachelor_abc - I mean!!?? How fun was that! I ❤️ BSB! Talk about a flashback! Nap time meant rocking a sick baby the whole time so a late workout it is. But I got it done (though trying to see the TV while doing lay down push ups is a wee bit challenging 😜).
Cappucinos..... sadly I have to #admit that I have a habit which is far too excessive, & have to cut back on this year. I'm a 6 per day kind of person, who complains about 3pm & insomnia 🙈 (I know I know)! But how pretty is this one next to painted knives & forks in a Balinese coffee shop? ☕️💛 This morning is the last excessive bout, sigh, because after admit comes #commit 😈I will need substitutes, what are you doing pre-workout @bbg_community?
