For varying reasons and that is fine (sometimes). Being happy is such an undervalued thing and can really change your whole outlook on life. I always tell myself whenever things don't seem right to turn that frown upside down and focus on the positives in life that I am SO SO lucky to be alive and to move on! Such a good mantra to have. ✨BEACH BODY BURN Always hard to get moving once out of routine or once away but now I wish I was back here making the most of the beauty & getting creative with the environment. Bit of Beach run, followed by •10 burpee 🏄🏽 jump overs •6 all out sprint shuttles •15 lifeguard chair tricep dips •10 sandy side climber pushup Repeat x5 continue beach run 🏃🏽 & Repeat x5 on way back Effect: Can't breathe! Can't feel legs! Must spend rest of day satisfied you got it done & ok with not moving from the lounger! Lovely. Then sunset Yoga to finish the day! Glorious.

I'm really struggling to get out of this mental slump I'm in. I spent so long relying on medication to reliever some of the mental pressure I was feeling but while it worked, it was always temporary. Part of me thinks of should be strong enough to get through this without any help. I hate admitting that I'm not okay, and honestly there is only so much judgement I can take. A lady I work with has pretty much been bad mouthing my relationship to others (after I mistakenly thought I could open up to her) because we have struggled and pretty much told me if he met someone else I wouldn't even be a second thought and while I know it's not true the thought of going to work tonight and having to deal with that kind of support is just not something I can deal with. I've been spending a lot of time hiding out on my room lately and shutting myself off from my family. I'm torn at where I want to be right now. And im tired of thinking to myself all the things I want to do when I lose the weight. What's stopping me doing them now. But I am proud that the last few weeks I have not been turning to food as much for emotional comfort. I don't have to have all the answers, but I don't have to cop other people's bullshit judgment either. 3:30pm snack attack! 🤤🍫🕞 I am a mint chick chip fiend from way back and mint slices are one of my leading weaknesses. I'll demolish a whole packed in one sitting! So instead of reaching for chocolate or a biscuit I'll try to steer toward fruit, hummus and carrot sticks or one of these babies if I'm craving something sweet. - Current fav: mint choc chip protein quest bar. I like the chocolate brownie bar as well (behind) It isn't a mint slice but it's definitely a healthier, tasty alternative with a lot less sugar! 👅 • 20g P • 21g C • 9g F •

•• LISTEN •• • #YogaUNchallenge Day 8 - camel pose. Today is a better day than ever for me to talk about how important it is to shut up and actually listen to what's going on in your body. Today I feel all bloated, tired, lack an appetite and it's all cause it's that time of the month and my body's decided that's how it will react to it. So this morning I didn't workout, I didn't do yoga, I didn't even stretch. I needed a lie down and some water so I got that. I went for meetings and wore the comfiest tights I had and put on some of my favourite lipstick (cause you know, the small things help) And I'm going on with my day. I'm not gonna workout tonight and I will probably eat less than I normally do cause everything tastes terrible at the moment except fruit and water. And that's the thing. I don't wanna force myself to workout or eat things when I felt like crap. I'll help myself when I need to but when it's not essential, I'm taking a step (or 10 steps) back. That's what it means to listen to your body and respect yourself. - I hope that means that for you, not matter how much you may love what you do, when you need a break, you take it too.
