It was such a lovely cool change in the weather this morning that a bit of rain didn't stop me from running 7km. This look is a look of feeling accomplished and proud, even with my nose still flaring whilst catching my breath 😊. It was a beautiful run and start to my day that I managed to stop and take a photo of the amazing kangaroos. Thank you universe for giving me the strength and health to be able to train and to stay determined and motivated in my fitness. I take these photo's (selfies) as a great reminder to myself of how amazing my heart and mind feels after a hard and great workout! Don't be afraid to share your joy to the world, some may cheer you on others may stick their noses up, but don't ever give up! Going to sleep at a decent hour made waking up early today a little easier. Rocket science, right?! 🚀 . And as you heard me say this morning, it's crazy to me that I now prefer to wake up early to get this done than leave it looming over me all day, but it's my new truth! . Have had a very busy workday and I'm looking forward to just being home with my girls tonight... despite a couple of meetings that my wife and I each have. How has your day been?

Week 4, Abs and arms completed!! I strongly dislike commandos and mountain climbers + push ups 😒 But yet again, I am so glad to have done it! There has yet to be a time where I completed a workout and thought, "I'm not glad I did that". I will say, I'm finally getting to the point where I'm no longer dreading workouts which is fantastic! I'm definitely not at the point yet where I'm looking forward to them, but now I'm just indifferent which is huge for me. I think it's safe to assume that me looking forward to workouts may be just right around the corner! Anywho, how is everyone's #BBG journey going?! Oldies and newbies! I wanna hear about it all!
The best and happiest training partner! Five and a half months since birth and I have lost all the pregnancy weight (gained 21kg) so that feels very good! My body has finally started to feel "like my normal self" again (things DOES change with pregnancy and birth). Lisanne is growing like I don't know what, 68cm and 8.7kg - more than doubled her weight since birth. CORN WEEK: Did you know that most of these corn plants will grow to about 8 feet tall and produce only 1-2 full ears of corn each? Unlike other plants that depend on bees or other pollinators to reproduce, corn is a self-pollinating plant. The silk (at the end of each ear) receives pollen from the tassel on top of the stalk. 1 rep at a time ✔️ I looked at today's BBG W2 arms and abs workout and knew that it was the only way I was going to get through it. We've all done whatever it takes to get to that 7 minute timer right? I'm not ashamed to admit that for me, this used to be rushing through the circuits hoping that it'd pass quicker 🙄 I'm not ashamed because we all start somewhere and I've learnt a lot because of the mistakes I made. Working out this way not only doesn't work your muscles and body constructively, and therefore you're not benefitting fully, but you're also seriously risking injury. Over the past 6 months I've been really been practicing my form, and that meant going back to basics, for example push-ups on my knees. This round of BBG I'm taking things slow, concentrating on form and adding weights to increase intensity 👊🏼Those commandos were TOUGH today, they took maybe twice as long as they usually do, but I fully engaged my core and kept a straight back throughout, I could actually feel the burn in my abs rather than just jelly arms!
