I've been mia 🙊. I've been hurting, a lot. I know I haven't mentioned my health issues too much because I'm trying to be the picture of good health and not quitting but here's the deal: I was recently diagnosed with degenerative disk disorder in my L3-L5 range, Spondylosis in L4-S1, and more! I'm doing physical therapy and my challenges to try and strengthen my back and core but the pain is always there.😭🤕I just refuse to let it beat me though. I've decided I'm way too young to have this crap💪It's not going to go away but I can do all I can to reduce the pain over time. My problem is I got cortisone shots last week and my back seems to have gotten worse. 😩So rather than bring everyone down with my woes I took some time to myself. I'm back now, and ready to show you that health problems shouldn't be what keeps you down, but instead should be what makes you power through to good health! 👊💜So here I am, on the last week of my yoga retreat. I don't have any measurements to share right now, but this pic and how I feel overall is ALL the proof I need that nothing will kick the ass of health problems like some time spent each day on the mat. In June I set out to complete a triathlon. I knew it would take me out of my comfort zone because I'm not a swimmer or cyclist. With the support of family and friends and the determination to check this goal off my list I completed my first triathlon this weekend. Happy Monday! 🌞 Today on #MotivationMonday I prepared for you 3 effective moves for slimming your waist line. Do all 3 moves for 45 seconds each with 15 second rest in between and repeat for 3 sets.  1. Windshield wipers: Spread arms with both palms firmly on the mat. Keep legs straight (or bent on table top position for modification) and move them side to side SLOWLY until you almost tough the ground. Make sure to imprint your shoulders on the mat.  2. Alternate heel touches: In a crunch position, alternate tapping each ankle with open palms.  3. With straight legs, lower legs to the lowest point you can go, raise and using your pelvis, lift to target the rest of your abdominals. IMPORTANT: Make sure your back is imprinted on the mat to avoid hurting your lower back. Happy training! 💪🏼😽

DO IT YOURSELF ⚒ Etant une grande fan de bricolage, rénovation et décoration en tous genres, c'était évident pour moi que notre appartement deviendrait un petit cocoon chaleureux qui nous ressemble à base de neuf, récup et de fait main ☁️ Pour le neuf je ne peux malheureusement pas changer les prix des boutiques mais pour le reste je cherche toujours les petits prix et pour les petits prix rien de mieux que #actionfrance ✌🏻 Nous avons récupéré un vieux vestiaire industriel deux portes d'une boutique sur Nancy qui a fermé que j'ai décidé de repeindre en noir pour mettre dans l'entrée, pour gagner du temps et de l'argent j'ai trouvé des bombes de peintures mates chez @action.france au prix de 1,49€, il en faut environ 6 pour le recouvrir l'intégralité et lui donner un effet sympa, de petites étiquettes avec nos surnom dessus et le tour est joué tout ça à petits prix. What will NOT happen when a woman starts lifting weights: grow a bushy beard and turn into a man.  What WILL happen when a woman starts lifting heavy weights:  1) Build muscle which will... * Increase basal metabolic rate and metabolism of dietary intake. * Increase insulin sensitivity. Studies have shown a correlation between increased lean mass and decreased risk of diabetes. *Protect the joints and bones from injuries. *Decrease recovery time if injury is sustained. *Improve posture and quality of movement. *Slow aging and contribute to strong bones and joints which in turn will reduce risk of fractures and osteoporosis. * Decrease risk of cardiovascular diseases and obesity because of improved metabolic conditions  2) Make her physically strong and capable of lifting things she never thought possible...Also, opening jars? NBD. Lifting the kiddos? Not a problem. Making one trip into the house with the groceries? Got it.  3) Increase confidence as she discovers what her amazing body is capable of.  4) Develop a positive mind/body connection as she learns to engage muscles properly and feel the movement.  5) Take the focus off the scale. There is nothing wrong with having fat loss as a goal, but often times the constant pursuit of a number becomes exhausting and makes one feel like a slave to the scale. Getting stronger is motivating and feels great. Often times, because of all the reasons listed above, fat loss is a side effect!
