#day5 #21daydetox  One thing I've learned so far is that I really need to plan ahead and bring food with me! I mentioned in an earlier post that I wouldn't get very hungry and would skip meals... that is no longer possible! Yesterday I was in a 3 hour class and even though I had my apple snack right before it was not enough to get me through. I couldn't really focus and was very spacey. Eating regularly and consistently is important in this diet- otherwise you start shutting down! I am happy that my metabolism seems to be more activated, Just now I need to plan ahead for the day!

With April around the corner and warmer weather coming it finally feels like spring is on it's way! My five week group program is coming to a close and one thing I have learned from these women is how much cravings can impact their lives. There's no dairy, however so this is a soy cappuccino treat :)coffee and I go back and forth and for the past few months I've just allowed myself to become a daily drinker again. I notice that I'm much more tired if I drink coffee regularly, and that it's effects lessen with habitual use. I'm excited to enjoy my cappuccino for now, knowing that next week it'll be gone! In the past when I quit coffee it stops tasting as good and has serious effects on my anxiety +mind. As someone who regularly meditates I can feel the coffee fueling my mental chatter. I know when I cut it out that will stop, and I'm excited to take that step (again) :) Xoxo

Pretty satisfying & packed full of probiotics, protein, calcium & great for your gut. #day3 #21daydetox  So today is the first day that I woke up hungry. The first day of this detox and this first day in a while! I take it as a good sign :) One thing is for sure-- I'm drinking a lot more water and peeing a lot more frequently. We're supposed to make a detox water with ginger and mint, instead I'm drinking a tea and adding in reishi mushrooms. So far my body feels light, clear and clean. My meditations have been very airy and I feel more connected to spirit. Although it came as a surprise, it reinforces what I've learned: that by honoring my physical body more I gain greater connection to spirit.

#day2 of #21daydetox  I decided to photo journal my detox for you all, maybe it will help me stay accountable!!! Today I'm having chia seed, banana, strawberry and coconut milk smoothie. (If it were me I'd definitely put more banana in!). In the past I used to only drink coffee in the morning and then eat lunch. Now that I'm less of a coffee addict, I eat at 10 or so. I find that I don't get hungry very early in the morning. Even today I'm having breakfast at 10:20! Although my last meal was 5:30 last night! Still, it's good for me to have routine, something that has been hard for my rebellious self to learn and adopt! Cheers!

One of the most important things I've learned on my fitness journey is that it's more important to read ingredient lists and know what everything is made of that you are putting in your mouth so you can make educated decisions about how you are fueling your body. Those "100 calorie" snack packs may help you meet your caloric intake goals and help you lose weight, but what are the long term results of eating processed foods with artificial ingredients? There is no way anyone can know what all those complicated ingredients are so if you don't have the time to research ingredients, a strategy I have is, "if I can't pronounce it, I don't want to eat." Today I found these chocolates 🍫 that have only 3 ingredients 🍫🍯🍃with words I can pronounce! There are also 3 pieces so I will have one as a pre workout snack. Eating clean doesn't mean depriving yourself of food! Day 8 was high carbs, so oats with almond milk and berries for breakfast, turkey burgers with green veg and rice for lunch and Cajun chicken with veg for tea. Here are my pictures ... this second round was mentally more challenging than the first time around but thankful for the reset in a crunch meal plan ... but made it through successfully losing 15lbs 😮and a bunch of inches in 21 days of gently cleansing my mind and body. Eating 3 hearty meals each day with lots of veggies, fruits, grains, a gallon of water daily and supplements. I didn't workout at all except a little yoga from Beachbody on Demand Yoga Studio a few times each week, it was so gentle that I had no perspiration.💦 Definitely looking forward to getting sweaty again and work toward dropping more LBS. 💪🏾

Was feeling down on myself this morning after going too far off my detox last night but reached out to the supportive community @morellifit and the members made me feel so much better! I'm back at it again after a small bump int the road. It's so important to surround yourself with positive people during your fitness journey who can help lift you up when you're feeling down.
