Another one of my favourite exercises to perform is the lateral raise for overall shoulder development.  This exercise helps to hit the lateral deltoid as well as the traps more specifically than a standard dumbbell shoulder press.  Do ensure that you perform this exercise with thumbs pointing more upwards rather than your pinkies!  This is to avoid a posterior impingement as well as to recruit greater posterior deltoid fiber's which help to pronounce your shoulders. Far too many people think about just working the front or 'mirror' body and neglect their overall musculoskeletal integrity. Don't comprise yourself through insufficient and  DANGEROUS training techniques!
