Two quotes to live by are; "Failing to prepare is preparing to fail" and "What gets measured, gets managed"  It's ridiculous the carelessness I see everyday in my gym and online. People just walk into the the gym and YOLO their training or really 'workout'. You see the difference between a workout and training is the planning that goes unseen. Those of us who truly train are working on a plan. Every miniscule detail is recorded, noted and analysed to perfection. πŸ‘Œ  If you want actually make a change in your life through the power of physical training, natural nutrition and mental fortitude then it will take planning and constant iteration. Without the two, you're sailing straight into an iceberg. ✌️

One of my favourite exercises is the back squat but a lot of people including myself have difficulties at the bottom of the squat due to poor glute activation and the inability to induce a stretch reflex of the quads.  An easy way to fix this quickly (3 - 4 weeks) is to incorporate paused back squats into your workout. Take your working weight e.g. 100Kg for 6 reps and drop it by 20% (80Kg} and then perform the 6 reps but holding it at the bottom of the squat for 2 - 3 seconds. If you're not comfortable with this then please have a spotter behind you and set the safety bars. Pretty soon your squat plateau will be defeated. And also my strength in the squat and deadlift. πŸ‹οΈ However, recently I've started to diversify my training to incorporate more dynamic and functional movement patterns. Had a great workout yesterday with @aleks_puveen hitting chest & biceps as well as some triceps. First bicep movement we did was bicep curls using the EZ bar. I used a lower weight this time to really focus on that contraction.
